Light weight hulls...

I have personally seen a few hull from Norbert at Lightweight.de most of them belonging to world class surf riders who have beat on them as hard as they can be beat on. I have yet to see one stress crack. I think the price with a hood kit is $12,000. It is not cheap but is a very quality product. It is also quite a bit less than the six figues you could spend on a race car body from him.

I'm not saying they are the only option...but for anyone seriously looking spend thousands of dollars on a hull, they are worth consideration.

I have seen the Trinity hull and I think we are lucky to have him in the industry, and will be intrested to see how they hold up.

And in case anyone cares, I don't have any business relationship with Lightweight. I think I will be building one of their hulls for another attempt at the double back, but I dont have any sponsorship deal with them.

In my mind they are probably the best but it ain't happening.

Honeycomb carbon can probably not be beat.

But 12k is out of the question for almost everyone.

Yea my bad on Pushing Trinity so much, I just figure when somebody asks, let them know. But I will lay low. He has plenty of work now untill WF's. I just did not want to see him have to leave jet-ski's again with how much he has put into building them. With little to no recognition for what he did for Malone.

There are other good boats out there.

Sorry Everybody

Man would I love to see that....along with prices.

How 'bout this:

I would love to see the same, so since i am somewhat new and i don't know all of the manufacturers of lightweight hulls, if someone can provide me with a list of makers, i will do the research and post the companies making them and the prices for them (if they have them posted or can give me a price through email since i can't call them all cuz I'm overseas)
I will also post the link to their sites. I have a lot of free time over here so i don't mind doing the research and learning a few things in the process. Then we can start a new thread based on the different makes and see who is riding which skis and get a review of that ski from the people who beat on them.

sound good?

use the search feature here on the site, best if you click "Advanced", then you can narrow down your search.... One the right side there is a list of all the forums, click on "Freestyle" to narrow down even more.

That thread was KINDA helpful but I still don't know what to buy.

I'm pretty sure it will be a WDK unless a used carbon pops up again.

I'm still kicking my self for not buying that 06 XFT that sold here a while back ^$%^$^#^%$#$!^@!#:eek:uch:

I don't need to ride one to tell you how it is.....when you see something get built from ground up....riding it really doesn't make a difference....The real point is that if your ready for a lightwieght hulls you should NOT have to ask who makes the best...you should have had experiances that would lead you in the right direction.....plus anyone can lie, so why would you believe what anybody has to say? But i have ridden xscream, don't need to own one...and ive ridden others ( DE, waterdawg, trinity) don't need to own them They are all basically indestrucable...but i need something that can be destroyed, That will always make me a better rider IMO Thats how the West FLA surf riders role:nutkick:

I read that sucka twice!!

I can wait 6 months or more. And this is lightweight hull only. No motor, no carbs, no custom stuff. Just a yami based carbon hull.

Yes, it would be great to have a new post that would basically describe each AM companies with prices, type of construction, years of experience, options and feedbacks from owners themselves, not friends of companies with bias opinions.

Unfortunetly, many of these threads ends up confusing the person more than help them make a proper decision in making a purchase decision.

are these serious statements? :twak:

each and every one of these boats handles differently....There have been a couple GOOD riders that have purchased REV hulls and straight given up on them due to the way they handled..(i use this as an example only)

reason: it doesnt handle like a SJ

well, if you call WDK he'll pound it into your head that this boat is not a superjet, it doesnt handle like a sj...

the trinity boat is not going to handle like an SXR

I guarantee you a lightweight.de boat is going to handle NOTHING like SJ

you get my point.

and none of these boats are indestructable......some are going to be stronger than others, but come on now...Indestructable?
