Ya think!!! Coulda done it last year ya know with Ludo on the lens. Personally I would love to see Shawn's take the....cake.... as its the sickest old school style boat out there. One more side note, stock hulls may have a problem if not reinforced on the sides as we all know, and hoods have been known to pop off the latches.

Pete, show the world how its done.

No tubbies this season. Maybe over the winter. I am falling in love with the non-tubbied X2 hull again... being that this one has the redesigned bottom deck. Whats that battery model # you were talking about?

Hey Shawn,
Is the wammer trim kit hard to pull. Do you need to let off the trrottle when you pull the lever.
Also any pics of inside your light weight.

I have been paranoid about running the boat without foam, in the surf (or anywhere deep).....BUT I DO NOT WANT WET, HEAVY, CEMENTLIKE FOAM!!!!! I just want SOMETHING there incase worst case happens and I crack the hull or something. Just so it doesnt go to the bottom. I know some people run without foam, but I just want the piece of mind. I was going to try the pingpong ball thing, but the poor space filling efficiency from mythbusters made be bag that idea. I dont need the foam for structural reasons... So far the ski has held up incredible to the abuse I've given it with NO foam at all. I might lay one more layer of carbon kevlar or carbon on the foottrays, but I dont believe it needs it.

So today I picked up a bunch of DOW Blue 1" Styrofoam 4x8 sheets. Supposedly this stuff does not absorb water, so thats a big plus. AND ITS REALLLLLY LIGHT! I plan to cut it into strips and use that in combination with the drain plugs for the rear section of the X2 thats normally foamed. Even if the foam does absorb water, it will be easy to replace because its not cement like 2/4lb foam. I'm going to weight the ski before and after the foaming. I doubt it will gain more than a few lbs. My goal is to get 3.5cu/ft or so of foam into it. Any more suggestions or input is greatly appreciated.
