Oh my gosh, this is not the new I want to get. I was literally praying that Kevin was okay and he would be found and return to his family safe and sound. I can't stop thinking about him and his family, this tragic reminds me of my parents. My parents died when I was 13 years old and I am 21 right now and my broken heart never healed. Prayers sent out to his three sons and wife.

R.I.P Kevin Bruins... You will not be forgotten. I am sure Kevin is in Heaven somewhere in a beach with his feet in the soft sand and he has a gorgeous sunset above the calm ocean in his view.

I am down for donations, stickers, anything and can you please let me know? I have a couple parts or more from my SXR I am taking off and I will be honored to donate them for the parts auction.

Okay...made a crappy drawing of what I want the decal to look like. It will actually have chrome lettering and a chrome border...(maybe outlined in black, if too hard to see). Still trying to get a good word back from the decal maker. I will take any suggestions...this is just to get an idea down.

I too am very sorry to hear this. Those that were close to Kevin, reach out to the family and tell your stories....when the timing is right. Let them know how he touched your life. Obvious simple stuff.

To support the family, a silent auction is effective. Reach out to the businesses in the community and ask for a donation. A restaurant, Home Depot, a spa...whatever. Not money. You are looking for products or services. Find a hall or other large center that will host the event. Generate some interest//advertise and put on a nice event.
Good luck guys.

RIP Kev.

RIP Kev.... My thoughts and best to his family, friends, and everyone that knew him.... At a loss for words on this one.. The Jetski family is the BEST out there though!! Everyone looks out for each other and theirs.. Glad to be apart of it all..

Wow,

I have been reading every article on the web, watching every video, checking this thread every minute since I first heard the news on Sunday... As a paramedic and firefighter I new the probable outcome, but I held out hope that he had washed up on some beach some where and was just hurt and unable to move, etc... Today when I heard that my worst fears were true... It took my breath away and I cried... I met Kevin two years ago when I attended my first Daytona Freeride. Kevin had sold a ski in Georgia or something and after that he picked up a guy that he never met before and car pooled the rest of the way to Daytona... That was just who he was. He would help anyone, anytime, anywhere... He was so passionate about life and everything he did he did to the max... We worked together he helped me with building my shop and I could call him when I got stuck on a problem with a ski and vice versa... I will truly miss him... I can take heart knowing that he was sure of his salvation and he is in heaven with his LORD and Jesus. RIP my friend...

I am down to help with whatever I can for donations, ski builds, rides, stickers on everything I own... I would also like to try and attend the funeral so as soon as those arrangements are made I hope they are posted here...

X-h2o,
TeamKarb and myself should be able to post the details from Saturday soon. It really doesn't matter much but my guess is everyone would like to hear the true story rather than the misreported news.

This matters very much. I think it is very important that we understand exactly what went wrong... and how we can change our habits, etc to prevent this from happening in the future. That is Kevin's Legacy now...

R.I.P. Kevin Bruins...

I think it looks great. I will rock pretty much anything that you make with the proceedings going to his family. I feel that is how everyone else is feeling right now..

Dj, put a bevel on the wood grain background and a bevel and a drop shadow on the text. This will make it look like it has depth/3-D. I know photoshop pretty well, I'm a digital art/graphic design student, have all the software and many CG textures, I'm sure this wood grain.

Do you want me to take a stab at it? I can email you the file for print once we approve. Let me know.

This event is very troubling to me, obviously, it makes me sick. My concern, prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends.

I like it. What were you thinking of as far as size?

These are indeed dark days. In my short time on this board I have felt more welcome than anywhere else on the net. While I have never even spoken to Kevin, I grieve for the loss of him. I can only imagine what the rest of you are feeling, let alone his family. So tragic and so wrong that these things happen. I hope for better days for you all.
