low rise handlebars

Cool. I not against trying something new. Just wondered the logic behind it.

I was actually thinking while working on my ski the other day that I could get some mountain bike bars like that and mount them with the rise pointing forward to basically give a shorter turn plate. You'd probably have to tweek the bars some because of the up angle when mounting naturally would give a bent forward feel mounted like that.

I did point it forward a bit... we will see what happens...

those dont have near enough rise to be effective, carbon bars never do. Ill never go back to straight bars, risers have even more advantages than whats listed if they are at the right angle.
Ive egged x metal on to produce standard 7/8th bars with the typical thick wall alum tubing.bike shop bars all have sweep in them, this looks and feels really stupid at the angle we use them. I had to bend mine out, near impossible to get it all out without weakening them further

The bicycle shop down the street from my house sells the ape hanger type bars. That would be funny having a set on the ski for a bit. Would need a longer throttle cable.

Do they seem strong enough or would you guys recommend those renthals up there ^^^^? And if so which dimension renthals?

I wouldn't mind givin this a shot! It just makes total sense IMO.

I'm gonna switch to the Renthal or Pro Tapers w/ the 4" rise... I like the rise and sweep of the MTB bars, but I think another inch would be perfect!!!

I can't believe I waited so long to try this mod...
