It is getting warmer, I predict a lot of the crybaby stuff will die down once we all get back in the water. Funny how a little time ON the ski can help forget about the stuff OFF the ski.

Here is an opinion from someone outside of the freestyle world. My experience in freestyle is what little wavejumping I have done at ocean races and watching the big wigs at WFs....

I have met Paul on a couple of occasions. I even got a chance to ride his orange/white/blue ski at the Lake Norman race a couple of years ago. Paul has always been a nice guy, very professional to me whenever we have spoke. I have never done business with him.

I have read most of the threads about the problems between him and the NJ crew. If I had to go out on a limb, I think Paul has stretched the truth a little hear and there. But, to be honest, I don't know anyone who hasn't in there lifetime.

Here is the part that holds me up. For years, Paul was the 'man' within the NJ freeride crowd. I mean, everyone used his services, everyone talked like he was the God's answer to PWC. And most, if not all of the folks up there had Jr. Magoos stickers on their skis. Then, Paul finds his lady, closes up shop and moves out of state. All perfectly acceptable. That is part of being a grown up, making decisions and being your own man. BUT, once he leaves, certain people start having a lot of issues with their skis. Most of these people are the same folks who rode for years praising Jr Magoos as the chit!

Paul isn't a friend of mine. Like I mentioned earlier, I have met, talked with him on occasion, but that is about it. I know who he is, he knows who I am, so be it. I also know who the person is that started all LPW bashing. This same person came to our Lake Anna race a couple of years ago and really, for lack of a better term, show his a$$ when he didn't get enough time to do a freestyle routine. I chalked it up to him having a bad day, we all have them.

So, either there are some very perfect people in the great state of NJ, or there are some people who need to get a life and understand that there are a heck of a lot of things in life more important that PWC, racing, freestyle, silly - childish grudges. No matter if you are right or wrong, if you stomp your feet and carry on like a three year old, no one is going to listen to your message because you are coming off like an idiot.

I have met so many good people in this sport who I have a great time talking, racing, joking around with. I have also met a couple of world class a-holes. But, I don't spend my time thinking about said a-holes because I have better, more mature things to do...... like clipping my nails. Come on people, grow up. As mentioned earlier, this entire site is becoming a 3 year old, my pee pee is bigger than your pee pee whine-fest.

What is it about grown men (I say that as loosely as possible) acting like children on the internet???? Do you really have nothing at all better to do??? I have seen quite a few of you ride, and you have skills, it you spent the time practicing you did on this site, Malone himself would have competition.

I dont get it. As for this post it was everyone else but my self who turned it into a negative thread. I heard a rumor from someone very close with Paul so I figured I would ask. As for my comment with the web site being down, that was only because the link in Gil's signature is broken. Which I apologized for. I told the moderators I was done bashing LPW and I havent since. People need to start actually reading the post rather than looking at teh title and start ranting. Also, everyone says that they are tired of reading garbage about LPW, yet any post which contains "Drama" ends up being pretty large because of everyones posts / opinions. As for my creditbility, what would I care if I have no credibility? I am not selling any services. I have been invloved in teh marine industry for over 14 years and know more about jetskis than I would guess about 95% of the people on this site and I can probably ride better than most too. I set personal goals to meet. I could care less what other people think of me. If you dont like me because I have an opinion thats your own childish decision. If people would actually listen and pay attention then maybe you might learn something. As for the Pete comments, yes he can loose his temper and flip out... That is just who Pete is. However, if anyone needeed anything and Pete could help you he would be the first one there. Pete is a great contribution to our sport no matter what anyone says. You need the crazyones to go out and push the limits that is how our sport grows. There are my two cents... I got get back to work.

Paul, Credibility in this case has nothing to due with what you do for a living or if you are selling a good or service.......... It is more about how you present yourself, are you a man of your word, when you speak is it something that is worth hearing........ With any topic related to Paul at this point, many people are going to have a hard time knowing if your sincere or just starting up crap......... bottom line, that is all I was saying..

as far as Pete goes, I would give him the shirt of my back, a place to stay if he was passing through town, a ski to use if his broke at a competition........... Yes, he is a great rider. He will give his time and the clothes on his back to someone in need. But that does not have a damn thing to do with this site. He is banned because of his attitude and actions on this site. Period.............. Bottom line, we are fed up with it. So, why should we let him back so we could have to baby sit him every single freaking day???? Would you be willing to be accountable for him.......... how about yours and his friends?????

I am from NJ and I would like to say I agree with Scottie Mac. Granted I have never had engine work done by Paul, but I do know he always had time to help me out when needed. I am not a guy that spends tens of thousands of dollars on a ski or really a great rider and Paul knew that but he still was willing to help. Always very friendly.

Obviously some people have had problems with Paul. It happens, but that is what PM's and telephones are for. When I first read the post by Ihop it seemed to me he was just asking a simple question. Nothing wrong with that.

This sport is too small to be breaking off into groups and hating each other.

As a comment outside of this whole thing: Scottie and everyone else, I don't believe you are, but please don't stereotype riders from NJ because of this whole thing. There are plenty of people from NJ who ride and that I ride with (and aren't in involved) and have never heard of X-h2o nor LPW. I am good friends with those involved, but I don't want to be involved or frowned upon just because all of this or if I tell someone I'm from NJ at a freeride or just communicating with someone online.

If your gonna point the finger please don't point at the crowd.
