Time for an update...
New
@tntsuperjet chamber is here. Can't wait to get on the water with it.
Tim was awesome to deal with. We had a little hiccup with shipping, but it was not a big deal at all and tim even called me to let me know what was going on. Cool guy to chat with.
Also got in my custom bushings from
@Scraggly
Matt does excellent work and I highly recommend him. Whatever you are trying to do, there is a good chance he can help. Just get in line behind me for machine work, because I plan on keeping him pretty busy.
Which brings me to my new part... Progress continues on the reduction nozzle.
3D printed plug (also from Scraggly Designs and Machining)
Lots of sanding and filling. Poly high build primer and then more sanding.
Surfacing primer
And wet sanded and polished, ready for gelcoat.
Also finishing up the first pole with the new layup, bolt hole and breather design. Pole weighs in at 4lb 14oz. This is also the first time I've used a non-braided sleeve for the cosmetic layer. This adds another step and more labor, but it will be nice to offer poles in some outrageous weaves like honeycomb, 12k spread plains, labyrinth, and other designs. I like to do things that haven't been seen before. Everyone has a 2x2 twill carbon piece somewhere, but how many have a honeycomb pole?
(Preview pics. It still needs to be blocked down once more, tongue and base painted, and then cleared again, wet sanded, and polished)
