I find that doing a quality paint job seems to take a lot of time. It's been two weekends already - and I have only primer on it.
However, this second coat is A LOT better than the first. I'll wet sand to 400-500 grit on Friday and drive it back over to my buddy's house on Saturday for sealer, base coat, and intercoat clear. There's a remote chance we can get some graphics on it on Sunday.
The weekend after that will be spent on installing new flooring in our house. We got nasty old carpets, three little boys, a dog and two cats.
My local riding buddy and Home Depot employee Whitca hooked me up on some hardwood flooring.

So then I am looking at late March just to get the paint all the way done.
Turfing is another big job and so is assembly. I will also need to spend time getting this thing legal & registered.

That Mt Dew paint job kicks some serious @ss! I like it! What kind of motor his he going to run? Did he use house of color paint as well? Does Whitca work at the Home Cheapo on 27th ave?

He is running a Blowsion big bore engine. Very strong.
He is using HOK paint as well.
And yes, whitca works at that HD.

It's a nice color, but it doesn't cover very well over the black sealer. That right there is 1 full quart of paint plus 25% reducer.
And it needs just about again that much as coverage is not nearly good enough yet. Too bad that was the only quart I had. :(
I finished off for the night with a couple coats of intercoat clear and ordered another quart.
I also got my pole today. I will work it over with body filler tonight and prime it.
6.6 lbs for the pole weight.

I got some work on the pole done.
But my floors came in, so I need to stop the water scooter nonsense until the 1000 sqft of eng hardwood are installed. Yay for asbestos exposure.

Looking great Matt, we were talking about the front toe hold today.

I tried to chew a hole in my bulkhead today with my big toe trying to get my foot further forward. That inch or so will make a huge difference.

I think I have at least another month worth of work left.
These floors will take me at least a week to install.
I need to spray another quart of base coat.
Then intercoat clear
Then cut & tape graphics.
Then spray graphics plus intercoat clear.
Then cut & tape more graphics.
Then spray graphics plus intercoat clear.
Then shade graphics plus intercoat clear.
Then about 3 coats of clear.
Then the hull will need to sit at LEAST a week before the clear coat is cured.
Then turf.
And finally, install :):):):).

It is completely hollow.
I will put some kind of foam in it, not sure what yet.
Maybe a couple of cut up pool noodles.
