Got all my paperwork filled out, notarized and sent in to get my ski registered and titled as a 2015 WDK RIP. So hopefully in about a week, it will be legit and I wont have to worry about any of the water patrol, even though they havent been bothering me a bit with no numbers.

Well thanks! And thank you for blessing me with your first post on the X.

Minor update: I was struggling with tuning my drivetrain (still am, but learning a lot) and when I went to the Lake Hartwell Races in Georgia, two of the most respected engine builders/tuners graciously offered to help me out and give me advice. It was determined that it was very rich (I knew this part) but also determined that I was experiencing an ignition issue and without fixing the ignition issue, I really couldnt work on carb tuning. Tuning is still very new to me, so it was great to learn other issues people can experience when they are experiencing what they believe to be carb issues, but turn out to be other issues such as ignition issues.

I also learned a lot of other stuff that weekend from these guys, and it really started to make sense. #1 thing was that you should only ever make ONE change at a time. There were times where I would say to myself....hmmm it seems rich all over and tweek both the high and the lows of the carbs. But when you do that, you really can never tell which of the change is effecting you result. Obviously, this is a more time consuming approach, but overall results will better. #2 thing was that unless you can be 100% certain that all of your parts are in tip-top shape, you cant expect that a tuner will just be able to wave their magic wand and make your ski FW flip itself. This should be an obvious idea to most people, and im somewhat embarassed to say I didnt even consider stuff like the condition of electronics. I just figured "hey, it at least starts and makes some sort of spark, so that sh*t is good to go!" lol.

Anyways, ebox is almost rebuilt and new. Just waiting on a shorter start/stop extension from OCD in the mail. Then I will get back to the water ASAP and work on the next issue I come across.

I hate electrical gremlins worse than carb issues. Because they mask themselves to where they can act like you have fuel issues. I still do not know what went wrong with my ski at Hartwell. I left my carbs with Paul to go through, but have to check all the other possible gremlins.

Ur exactly right Matt I go thru small issues like that every build and I almost always use new or very well taken care of parts. It's all part of this crazy addiction.
I'll have my other Rip built and ready by October!
