Houston....I think we have an airleak.

It did seem a little too smooth on the first ride and now it's hesitating at the worst times and reving on it's own when I'm in the air. I didn't do a pressure test on the case before I installed it. I guess I'm gonna do one now.

Not an airleak. 10psi for 10 minutes with no loss. 28 psi popoff on both carbs. Maybe it was an exhaust leak. Paul said if I can't figure it out he will meet me at a lake to get it straight. Hopefully it won't come to that.

It was a hole in the fuel line. Lots of work for a simple fix. Noticed it while reinstalling the motor. Then it was a Jetworks battery crapping out that made me pull my exhaust to get to the starter before I figured out it was the least likely culprit. So much for Jetworks batteries being so great. It was a year old. Wrenched from 8am to 3pm in the sun. Runs fine now on my crappy old cheap battery I pulled from my couch because it wouldn't hold a charge well. Happy freaking 4th of July!

They had a bad batch about a year ago. I had to send one back and so did a couple other people I know. Art will take care of ya.

Seriously thinking of selling my hull and hood for an aftermarket hull. I'm not really sure I want to go through all the work required to do this but if I find a buyer for my hull it may push me over the edge. Check out the earlier posts for the build and reinforcement. It's solid and clean and can come with the WDK hood, and a d-cut ride plate. Maybe the pole too. I also have the yamaha symbols from the ebay graphics that can replace the star wars insignias. PM me if your interested.

Digging this up to try to see what gelcoat I used on the bottom. I saw this hull last year in Daytona and the bottom still looked like it did when I sold it after tons of beaching on that gelcoat. It still had the same graphics too. First build by a newby. Entertaining.

You def built that hull solid. It was a great ski. @Jed is the new owner btw.
