I had some ignition issues that I think is a bad stator. After riding pabloescobar's ski with a TL setup I was jealous of the power. I found a great deal on a MSD single channel digital TL that is on it's way to Jetskisolutions to be refurbished. I'm gonna have them set it up with quick connects for the battery. There's no way it will be ready by the 17th though so I guess I'm out for this year. Hopefully I'll make it next year.

LOL we're all gonna have total loss because I bought one a few days ago too. Hopefully tuning it won't be too bad...we'll see though.

How much does the refurbishment cost out of curiosity?

john...that TL shouldn't be too bad of an ordeal. I was more overwhelmed at first but with Matt E, D-roc, supertune, Goose and whoever else helped answer my questions it turned out not to be so bad. You gotta have a few tools...TDC gauge, degree wheel and timing light, but other than those few things it wasn't so bad. I'd do it again...especially with a digital. U get a new one?

It is a single channel digital one that I got from Wetjet701. May be the same system as what you have. Hopefully it'll come in the mail before the weekend so I have something to tinker with. I'll have to get all those tools though...and learn how to use them. lol

If not, I'll be back out on the lake this weekend without much change.

I'm sure Mcdog's gonna borrow my TDC gauge and micrometer. He's got the timing light I borrowed from a guy at work. U can use 'em if u want 2. Sending that thing to Jetskisolutions is money well spent. I should have done it. The rats nest will drive you crazy. Or just look at Jetskisolutions pics and DIY. All you really need is a nice aluminum or ABS plate to mount it and then drill and secure. Might be easy.........................famous last words.

You buttknocker! I was gonna buy that and he tells me "I didn't realize that I sold it this morning." How do you not realize you sold something? Anyway he had a death in the family so I'm not trying to knock him. It's just funny that you are the one who bought it. I ended up with a better deal but I have to wait about 2 weeks for it to be ready. Luckily, I can ride the sn I built for my wife in the meantime.

LOL... Yeah I was talking back and forth with him for a while on that system. Apparently a bunch of people were asking about it but no one was committed when I broke down and decided I couldn't pass it up.

At least you do have a ski to ride while yours is under construction. Well....if you ask nicely. haha

I forgot!
JSS will make that system look new and prewire every thing real nice. make sure you ask him to put an inline fuse on the main power wire to the brain so you can pull it out when charging. his wiring an mounting plates for the coils and brain are all really cool.

I decided to not use the limiting strap. The connection on the pole hit the hood and I was afraid it would damage the hood if I did any hood tricks. Since my pole is a little crooked I figure if my pole breaks, it will be my excuse for an aftermarket pole. Pabloescobar really needs one with his pole setup, and he has a msd flywheel I need, so we are working out a trade.

That is a good idea. He told me that he never pulls his battery when he charges them. I was confused as to how he wasn't damaging the brain, but now it makes sense. I will definitely mention it to him though, just to be sure.

It's done! (for now)

The ski is done!:fest30::Banane35:Sorry it took me so long to post pics.

It rips just fine, now I just have to grow some balls and learn to roll. It is a huge improvement over stock, but of course I still want more power. I'm using my stock coil for now, but I hope to change that soon. I've heard it doesn't make much difference.
