Yep, they call it a cap n' trade system. They cap how much a province can produce, to be allowed to produce more that province has to look into other provinces or countries that are producing less than the established cap and swing deals to trade whatever for their unused allowances. It's exactly what CRJ said...just a money grab. They expect everyone to accept it but they won't go into details in ways the general public can understand to explain it. Nobody I know is aware of what the cap limit is, where these numbers come from or how they come to determine those numbers. It's all another revised version of the rabbit in the hat. Hey CRJ...remember when they were supposed to scrap the driveclean emissions testing? lol...yeah, me either! Haaahahahahahah!!!! It was a farce to get us used to paying for a bogus certification to keep our vehicles on the road. They said it is only temporary, it was meant to get the old "carbureted gas guzzlers" off the road. Man were we ever had over that one lol.
Funny thought, my buddy's old carbureted '84 Mustang would get twice the fuel economy of his '86 fuel injected..."advanced technology to get rid of the gas guzzlers"! We were just talking about it last night lol. Same with my old truck, 1990 Ford F150 with a 302 5.0L v8...68 liter tank and went for about 469kms on a full tank. My last F150...2003 with a 5.4L and 120L tank...350kms on a full tank under premium driving conditions. I went to Crystal Beach once with that truck and my round trip fuel cost was almost a grand. Pretty sad for "advanced technology" to consume 7 tanks of fuel in about 1200 kms lol. Needless to say, that truck is long gone. It lasted 3 years in my possession and that was enough. The carbon tax people would love that truck, they would make a killing off it lol.
