Really Magic Mike????

Well Silver Lining Playbook was excellent! Great story about mental illness and family the family you are stuck with! Nice break form shoot em up special effects BS that I am starting to hate. And damn Jennifer Lawrence is smokin! I love dark damaged chicks! I just told my wife to go get a black cross and break out the black finger nail polish!

I gotta check out Expendables 2.

Love the Dark Night series. Bought them all on BluRay and watched a bunch of times now.
I really liked the Hobbit, too. I went to the theatre twice, something I've never done before. Watched Les Miserables a couple weeks ago and that was pretty good, too. I enjoyed it.
I am very much looking forward to Man of Steel.

I recently bought quite a few BluRays. A bunch of Apollo area documentaries (love that stuff), Apollo 13, Contact, a few of the Superhero movies for the kids, The Big Lebowski (best ever), some Coen brothers stuff (Fargo, No Country for Old Men), Daniel Day Lewis goodness (There will be Blood), the whole Star Wars collection, and the full extended edition LOTR collection.

Hummm, I might pop Shadow of the Moon or Apollo 13 in tonight. I want 'From the Earth to the Moon' to come out on BluRay.

I hope Man of Steel is killer ! The Big Lebowski was...is...awesome.

I re watched Inglorious Bastards late late last night and still love it. That bad guy (the good guy in Django Unchained) is a great great actor!

German (maybe Austrian) dude. Christoph Waltz. He had a slow start back home. He started out playing a biography movie portraying the german Elvis Presley (Roy Black). Then he played a weird guy with a rubber boot fetish that blows up a court room.
Great actor.

I had Inglorious Bastards on in the garage today but i wasn't really paying attention. May have to sit down and give that one another chance. Christoph Waltz was brilliant. Bunch of great actors, just an odd concept to get into.

Yes, Magic Mike was actually pretty good. It had some really good laughs and way more depth than Ted.

A bunch of Apollo area documentaries (love that stuff), Apollo 13, Contact, .

Last night, I saw a documentary called "Moon Machines: Apollo Space Suit". It was about how they made the suits for the astronauts. Really cool to watch. Of course I geek out to documentaries about our space program.

Well, I broke down and bought "From the Earth to the Moon" on DVD. I couldn't resists for $12.44 for the whole thing. Really good show, I am enjoying it.

And I just happened to come across a signed copy of Gene Cernan's "Last Man on the Moon" for $0.99 today.

Inglorious bastards was fantastic and u boys r correct that Christopher Waltz is pretty dynamic. I watch Basterds any chance I get. His delivery is what sets him apart.

"End of Watch" was real good. Watched it a few days ago.

Agreed 100%, Waltz is fantastic in that film.

I agree with so many of you on this thread. Loved Ted, if you can turn off your brain. Thought Skyfall was really overrated. Lincoln was really good and Daniel Day Lewis IS lincoln in that movie. Best movie I have seen in a while - Silver Linings Playbook. And I don't know who said it, but YES, Jennifer Lawrence is very hot in that movie.

Haven't seen Django. Not really high on Jamie Fox, so that may be why, but I will check it out when it makes its way to Netflix.

Zero Dark Thirty was good. Just the last 30 minutes is enough reason to go, but the movie itself is pretty good beginning to end.

Thought the Dark Knight Rises was pretty good, but not as good as the Dark Knight, but that might be because of Ledger's incredible acting stealing the show. I thought they did a good job of ending it.

Also agree, CAN NOT wait for Man of Steel!!!!

I saw Flight over the weekend. Enjoyed it. I was planning to sit down and watch Argo last night, but the kids were too rowdy to get to bed, and by the time I went into the theater room, I knew I'd fall asleep.

Tip of the hat to Flight and also Lawless two real good watches this weekend. I'm liking how versatile Tom Hardy has been in his characters he has more depth than I expected

The flight part of the story of "Flight" is actually based on a real accident. Alaska Airlines Flight 261, January 31 2000

Flight was real good. Denzel plays a good drugie. I'm gonna see The Impossible tonight.

What's the scoop on Life of Pi? Anyone like the last Bourne movie w/o Matt Damon?
