MSD vs Atp flame total loss????

Thinking about giving total loss a run, has anyone tried the msd back to back against a ATP flame, just wondering the pros and cons of each system????

I ran msd total loss on my big bore superjet for years and never had a problem, the brain was so old it looked terrible but didnt miss a beat, didnt have any problems with pickups and hardly ever needed to charge the battery, only thing i didnt like was having to mount it cause i'm lazy

Im getting ready to get a Flame set up for a surf ski
I have been running MSD digital for a year and half W/O a single issue But I do have to watch the corrision factor when I ride surf with it.
Easy set-up ,stock box and parts PC friendly
Is there even a choice
I have noty heard a bad word about the Flame ,MSD not so much

id like to see the diff as well,I saw wattage post about the epic and the tbm and he said it worked well and performed good, but i know another guy that tested it with a tbm and it failed so who knows, what id like to know is if the flame runs as smooth and precise as the dual dig msd,I know the flame is a programmable setup so you have a true curve, the msd tl is a staight line fall off,but it makes motors run and rev like a big $ sewing machine.......smooth and instant power is incredible compared to stock analog ign

id like to see the diff in performance to a msd tl,Im sure its much better than stock. there is something about the multi spark dual dig running the high voltage coils that just revs so fast and smooth.it would be a interesting comparison. I use to not even consider the msd tl because its open to salt elements would not last long term, but since ive fig out how to put it all in a very small dry box including the coils that removes from the ski very easy. I lean towards it now.Ive never cared much for the stock ebox.

aircraftsalz will offer this comparison up very soon. He is still running his enhancer with the stock flywheel until his new FLAME shows up any day now.

stock eboxs are notorious for leaking if you ever sink your ski or take on any real amount of water.not to say they cant be sealed, but you never know when they are failing,I really like this tl in a Ip68 rated box with a smoked clear lid, pretty much guaranteed not to leak, and if it does you see it at the first sign of condensation, far better imho

why was it josh switched from the epic to the msd tl again? there should be no comparison between the flame and enhancer, the flame would be expected to do far better, the ? is how does it do against a new msd pro dig using msd coils

He has a msd tl in one ski already and a flame coming, hopefully switching out this flame with the ski that has the msd tl,perhaps he will test them back to back before the install?

In my own experience, if you use a good stock ebox with a new gasket and 1211, it will NOT leak.

My experience with stock elect boxes is either they seal up or they don't, the trouble is you don't know which till you have to open one up. keep in mind most of my experience is on couches, standups are way more subject to water intrusion even on couches I have seen some pretty gnarley elect boxes on Yamahas.

I've split open some older stock boxes that were soaked. Perhaps over time the rubber gasket deteriorates.
