Ok here is the whole long story (from my side) I bought a ski off of the boards here with a TNT motor built by Mark which is now Full Throttle/ 24-7. I was an almost new motor with about 5 hours on it. When I got the motor I took the head off and checked it out and the pistons were still clean gapped good and everything I knew to check. So I done a squish test and that was fine. Leak down test that was also great. Everything checked out.
I put the ski together and rode it a few times. Maybe 3 or 4 tanks of fuel at the most. And I sheered a flywheel key at the Ozarks ride. When I was lapping the flywheel on the crank the next week I noticed a strange sound like there was play in the crank. Anyhow I took it apart and the PTO rod didn't have a bearing carrier in it. Just the bearings which would roll to the bottom of the rod and that is where the slop was coming from.
So the last week of June I sent Mark my motor. I guess he received it by the first week of July. He called me with a quote and some options. I was going to go ahead and get the crank rebuilt and moved to a 6mm along with new domes to lower compression and new pistons because of the motor eating the bearing carrier.
Anyhow about the first week of August I started calling to see what was going on and he didn't answer. I called daily for weeks. Then after many attempts he finally answers and tells me that Crankworks was backed up and they didn't have the crank done yet. So about the middle of September I called Crankworks and they hadn't heard of him nor have they done any work for him. SO I keep calling to see what is up. Mostly 2 times a day hoping to get an answer. Somewhere around here I start leaving messages to just send my motor back like it is and I will take care of it.
Finally I get a hold of his dad and he makes him call me. This is about the 11th of October and Mark says that he sent me an email that morning the motor is done. I can't check email during the day so I tell him to call me when he gets to the shop and I know what the bill will be and I will give him my Credit card info. I call his dad later that evening and he has Mark call me. Mark takes my info and says I will get a tracking number tonight (oct 17)or tomorrow the 18th at the latest. I ask who done the crank since crankworks didn't have anything of his nor have they heard of him. He said "I sent it to crankworks and they were backed up so I had them send it back and I sent it to Jetworks". I took that as feasable and expected a tracking number. So since I didn't receive a tracking number I called Jetworks. Art said "I haven't done anything for him since March. But he called last week maybe Tuesday or Wednesday (16 or 17th) for a quote on a 5mm crank rebuild and said that he would send it over". As of the 25th they still don't have a crank from Mark
So now he is officially lying. I called him and stated that I didn't get my tracking number and I also called Jetworks and what they told me. I told him that if he dropped the ball that was fine but don't try to lie about and say that it is done when you won't get me a tracking number and Art hasn't done any work like that nor has he talked to you except for a quote.
Mark charged $745 on my credit card on the 17th but still won't answer a call so that I can get any information or a tracking number. So I called this week and contested the bill on my credit card and I am filling a complaint with the attorney general. At the present time I just want to get my parts back as they were. If it is completed that is fine I don't have a problem paying for what it done. But if not send my parts back and I will be out of your hair.
I know that this write up is long but 4 months is too long to take to rebuild a motor.
