I picked this hull up from my buddy Roo in the fall and most of you will recognize this ski from his XS1200 148 Mag build from last year. This year will be a much much milder driveline. When he told me that he was going to sell the hull, I had to have it. I ended up putting my hull setup up for sale within the next week.
Last year was my first experience with the aftermarket hull setup as I ran a SXR powered EME Q8. While I really enjoyed my summer with the Q8, there were some things that I didnt really like. I did not like the foothold/tray area, small engine compartment, and the fact that everything with the build needed modification. While everything turned out fine, I hated that everything looked "hacked" in. I am not at all bashing the Q8 here because I really enjoyed this hull and would have kept it for this year if this deal did not happen.
On to this build. One thing I will say that is cool about this build is that I got to ride this hull multiple times. For being a really short hull, it does not ride nose high at all. Im sure the fact that I am around 170lbs helps. I love the wide tray as well as footholds with 26mm padding both in the tray and the undersides of the foothold.

I got the pump aligned, sealed up, and midshaft installed last weekend. (Thanks for the help Roo).
This weekend, I had by buddy Swanny help me transfer somethings over from my stock 701 motor to the new motor. (Thanks Swanny)
I also installed the Superfreak Hood Hook System built by sportfish here on the x. What an easy install and really cool product! Without the straps on, this hood is on there tight. I should have a great watertight setup this year. Highly recommend to all superfreak owners.
Also peeled away some of the stickers on the hull to show off some more of the sweet paint job.
Here are some pics to see some progress...
