Ive been really productive the last couple weekends. Ended up buying the R&D carb intake manifold for my new carbs. Had a small problem where the manifold put the carbs on an angle enough to where the diaphrams were hitting the cylinder (just barely). Therefore, I had the run the carbs flipped around. Had a buddy of mine help me out by welding a new throttle bracket on (thanks Dave)
Last night, I messed around with installing stock ebox mounts . Had to offset the ebox a little so it wouldnt hit the headpipe.
Today I did my second full mockup. Got the steering and thrust trim all set up. All the tank and waterbox straps secured and in the right spots as well as a final check on motor alignment. I am still really happy with how much room I have inside the hull compared to the Q8. This makes the install super easy and quick.
All i have left to do is turf in the tray, and in some spots in the engine compartment. I am now ready to pull everything back out and install for good. Should be ready to rock in a couple of weeks. Too bad we are still in the upper 20s and the lake is still frozen over =[ Also still looking for starting points on my total loss. Any tips appreciated!
