if there to "busy to take care of there customers" then why are they building hulls.
i guess lawn mowing and vacations are more important.

i only respond because i have met and talked to eric a couple times, both times he seemed like a douche. sorry if that hurts your feelings just my opinion.
 
For You guys that like to snowball the issue, I own an eme Q8, Its awesome.I am Also very good friends with both Eric and Brenden. Both of which are very very busy guys. Eric is a workhorse,so is Brenden. If it was stated that eric will resolve the conflit with the buyer, he will as best he can. Eric Took Brenden on in 2010 part time which Brenden has been working for himself for nearly 6 years maintaining A solid Business.Also studying Turfgrass Science at Penn State.... He is also part of eme which he will try to help with any issues. I cant speak for brenden or eric on what is going on with the buyer.

If Brenden/ EME direct has stated that the buyer has contacted Malone and the isssues are being resolved that is between the two of them....END OF STORY. stop the bashing

If they are... They sure aren't proving it! If you are a small business owner you best damn care about what your customers think and especially with an issue of this magnitude. Some serious money was spent here and it's appearing that EME is just turning their heads and not directly addressing the issue. Of course we don't know every last little detail nor are we entitled to but at the end of the day the ski is still not running.

Who cares if your on Vacation half way across the world, make a phone call and get the issue fixed, get it sent to a local shop, get it shipped back, or work out something reasonable where the customer can ride. Looks like EME is showing no interest in making any type of financial investment into getting this fixed. The issue is not going to fix itself. This was also proven by the intake grate not getting sent priority or next day. For god sake he's probably vacationing on the OP's MONEY!

In a dying sport, companies should not be able to afford to do things like this, and I'm sure that EME will suffer negative repercussions because of it.

This may not be Brendan's issue, but it certainly is Eric's. CLEARLY, the buyer feels that Eric is not doing anything to solve the problems.

I worked in an industry of custom services/products for years, and stuff happens, things do not always come out right. But, as a business, it is your responsibility to make it right (or not).

^^^ Totally agree.

I always think of what aftermarket hull I would like once I graduate, and this has easily taken EME off of that list. And totally agree with communicating with customers. My dad owns a small aerospace company, and even when he is on vacation HE calls work and checks in to make sure nothing is askew despite being on vacation. And as said, in such a small community, you want to appeal to every person, and one small incident makes a big impact, let alone a major fault like this.

He went and switched to AT&T so he would have the best service up there so he could receive and respond to emails that he gets, make phone calls when he has to, and he even has EVERYTHING through his laptop so he can do all the work from where ever he is. He will be at the bar on the beach having some lunch with his family and respond to emails or make calls if he has to. That right there in my eyes is a responsible business owner.

That is what good business owners do.... I dont like to answer emails and calls on vacation, but its part of me owning my own company....

Hmmm my wdk rok layup fit and finish was way better then other hulls that cost 2 to 4 grand more... And its bean bullet proof and has talkin a huge beating through my learning curve...
 
I think you guys need to "hop off" eme direct for having a real job outside of jetskiing. Last I heard no one is really making a living off building/selling/riding PWC parts. Especially a part timer at Malone's shop. As stated before this is between Malone the supplier, and Lakeboy the buyer. Yes I agree theres no excuse for shotty work with a price tag that large. How about we wait to hear how this pans out before getting our panties in a wad?

It's been two months. How long shall we wait to hear how this pans out?

Btw, I think EME has some good looking products all around. I've seen one Q8 up close and the quality looks awesome with some really cool features.

But that doesn't excuse this apparent customer service disaster. I hope it gets worked out because I think (thought?) pretty highly of EME

my family runs two businesses and it is also hard for us to call Eric but after hearing that the sf owner calls his customers just to see how the ski is working makes me very upset with eric because he cant even take a half hour to call me and try to walk me through fixing it. Like said befor alot of money was spend, i saved for almost 2 years and instead of getting a awesome ski i get a 20$ lawn ornament
