That's what I did...still not on the water though....soon!

Don't think Art is only Yamaha, he owns an SXR powered X2, he knows Kawasaki as well.

Here's my new setup: Blackjack Performance 84mm (820cc), ported cylinder, JSU (Kommander) head for pump gas, Jetworks programmed Advent T3, Blackjack 40mm I bodies (he refuses to Blackjack SXR carbs anymore, he swears by doing a thin tube atomizer instead), V-Force 3 reeds with spacer, RAD charging flywheel, and Power Factor pipe. Pump is stock with 650 reduction/steering nozzle and Solas 14/22 impeller (came on ski, planning on changing once I figure out what I might need, however I'd like a Solas 'mag', and love a larger Skat).

I have some taper bore 44 carbs I plan on swapping to, then probably eventually getting them Blackjacked.

Cannibal, How much difference did you feel with the porting?
PFP?

I can't comment on each modification unfortunately, as I did everything at once.

Previous setup was:

83mm bore, 190psi, Advent ign, V Force reeds, Blackjacked SXR carbs, and wet pipe. This was all through the same pump setup, stock with 14/22 Solas.

New is 84mm, porting, new Advent curve, lighter flywheel, and PFP. I did swap to 650 nozzle with this setup, before it was stock.

Difference is night and day. I can't imagine this with a 145 Skat and another 70+??? lbs out of the hull.

I will have it as Surf Slam, if you know anyone coming out that wants to give it a spin and give you a report, feel free.

Kawi cranks suck. The bearings do not last. A blown crank bearing could take out a set of cases, cylinder, etc etc etc....I still haven't ridden a decent Kawi DASA cylinder that has been even anywhere near as fast as mine....not sure they have them perfected yet. (Only been on two, but not impressed).

...plus, this is out of the budget.

The Yami DASAs RIP! Erok's and Paul Lamb's 1000 and 1100 were sick.

5 years with beating on my stock crank and no issues what so ever. Still on original bore!!

Nice! I blew two stockers (threw a bearing in both and took out my whole motor). Now I run SBT cranks ($200) and just do a rebuild every 2 years. (Costs about $400 total for a complete rebuild)....

...haven't blown an SBT yet, but they are so cheap, Id rather be safe than sorry. SXR cylinders are expensive! luckily the cases are cheap.
