New 2017 Kawasaki 4 stroke sx-r!

That's only true if they don't repurpose the components. If seadoo can reuse the motor, pump, everything from a spark, only using a different driveshaft, throttle, steering cable and pole/steering, they could have very affordable prices.

Valid argument, but the main issue Is still the fact that there aren't enough people interested in stand up jet skis. I suppose you might have more potential buyers if the price came down, but it will always be a very niche sport.

Also highly doubt Sea Doo will ever build a stand-up

Excuse my ingnorance on 4strokes but aren't you supposed to not roll them else they need servicing? Or was that an old wives tale on them...

Reliability in a small craft with that kind of engine, which is as almost certainly going to be not 2 or 3 but 4 cyl...just seems crazy. Oil changes. Valve train, fuel injection etc etc

Hate to be the mechanic draining chocolate milk out of every motor lol

Hoping for the best planning for the worst.

I want one. It said ready to race.

Did anyone read the magazine article that mentioned rumors or a 3 cylinder super jet 1000cc.

I might have to go to finals to ride one of these.

Can you backflip a 250f? Wfecking my quads never hurt the motors. Not sure if boats are made different.

Depends on the motor. Let's of sleds get rolled all the time. I think they have special catch can/vent set ups though.

Flipping a 4-stroke isn't good, but maybe they have a better inatke system then the sitdowns. I've had to remove water from a few 4-tec seadoo motors, and I usually have to change the oil 5+ times to get 100% of the water out.

If your bouy chasing, you shouldn't be flipping the ski anyways, but people manage to flip big heavy couches, so they will manage to flip these things too.

Exciting news from both companies.

If it's very heavy I hope Yamaha keeps it real with their release, or I will be keeping it real with the 2-strokes...
