New 2017 Kawasaki 4 stroke sx-r!

Ok so they were going to put the new 1000cc engine in but they didn't have enough time? Then hold off until after the finals. For god sakes they went for 6 years without a ski and all of a sudden it's gotta be built. Kawasaki doesn't get it. Good for them for trying but they just don't get it. Sea doo hit a grand slam with the spark and nobody learned a thing from it.
Exactly my point. Yes they went 6 years without a ski, but the SXR was unchanged since 2003. So they had 13 years to work on this new one. Why was it suddenly rushed? They did not HAVE to unveil this week in Havasu.

If they took the right direction, great. But I hope there were not compromises for some artificial deadline.

I'm really curious to see what people say after riding it. Standing on the tray without moving sure sounds like it was made "easier" for more people to be able to ride them.

Nope pigpen the ski is that much bigger! Thats a sxr stock length pole with a different chinpad

Please explain how seadoo hit a grand slam? Are you talking about generating revenue or building a ski that you want?
Ducky I don't get your question. By building something that people want seadoo generated revenue. The spark is selling like crazy. It's lighter somewhat fast and cheap. For me lighter equates to more fun. Speed equates to more fun. Lighter and faster is the ultimate combination. What is so confusing about that? The lighter h2 engine would have been better than a 4 cylinder 1500cc car engine that weighs over 200lbs! Yes it's a step in the right direction but the stand up industry moves at a snails pace. I'll be dead by the time something ideal is released.

The pro rider that did the demo around the track liked it.

160 hp makes up for the weight. Last night I saw some Bullet head ripping up the bouy track on a turbo seadoo. And I was in ah at how fast and angry it was. It rocketed away from trinity 1100 stand ups like they where nothing.

There is probably already a ecu reflash on the market that will up power even more.

I own a 15f and I can tell you the engine rips. I can't wait to ride this new sxr.
Everyone on here complaining probably isn't going to buy 1 anyway.

I think it's a mistake to compare it to the 3D and I don't understand why everyone keeps doing it. Definitely apples to oranges

Do you think it's large enough to stand up on while sitting still? Kawasaki may consider that as a positive, with it being easier to use for beginners. I don't view it as a desirable attribute though. That just means the ski is too large. I can't believe their staggering the release of its specs until November.

Yes, exactly. It's more buoyant, which makes it bigger and heavier.

I don't know if they are expecting pros or beginners as the target market?
