Custom/Hybrid New BOB 3Ride hull.

Saw this on Quebec het crew and bob hull sites. Anyone know anything about it. I like the idea of a BOB hull thats a little more "recreation" based but still has the ability to go big!!

Looks good, maybe the learning curve isn't as steep on this one. I like the big tray, I think BOBs have a nice sized tray already.

We want our hulls to be identically priced. The extra $300 is just to compensate for material as it is a bigger hull.

Its still in testing stages. Basically we want to make something geared more towards the general public, rec riders, boat chasers and free riders. We know the G3 is limited to the flat water flippers, so we're trying to make something much more people can easily enjoy.

5" taller if the hulls are standing up. From tail to nose, the 3Ride is 5" longer than a G3 right now. Height is about the same.

DK ,i have to disagree on the discriminating G-3 folk statement ,we are much more than just flippers ,we are also spinners ,inverters,upsidown-ers,stabbers,underflipp-ers,flair-ers,twisters,sliders, barrel rollers, unruly splashers,flat-water freestylers that also enjoy getting involved in a freeride and or occasional boat chase just as much as the next guy. haha just having some fun ,the new boat looks great ! you guys rock...

I saw and rode this ski at Surf Slam. The ski looked great, I can't wait to ride it when the finishing touches are made and it's released for purchase!

It gives us "Surf Riders" an option for an affordable hull.

How about an accurate planform drawing next to a Superjet for comparison. Hull area aft of the CG is a critical consideration for larger riders. What about lateral grip: more or less? Any tendency to hunt in a straight line? Built in tubbies?, if so does it tend to chine walk?

I barrel rolled the ski rather effortlessly, didn't try to flip it because I broke the nozzle on the roll, the bolt came out. It didn't ride nose high. Never got the ski to high speed. I never tried.

I'd imagine it wouldn't take much to flip this hull in the surf. I was tempted to flip it but decided not to because I didn't want to break something and ruin the opportunity for others to ride which I ended up doing anyways :/
