current retail price is $1750!! It should come down a bit once they go into full production after WF but right now, they are in very limited supply and pricey.

Here's is the question you have to ask yourself; is 20+hp worth $1750?

How much horsepower does a factory b pipe give you? I need to know the difference from what I already have.

U reach a point fairly quickly where Hp is approx 1000.00 per 10 pretty quickly. 1750.00 is a ton of money-BUT-if it really adds 20Hp, then it's
well worth the $ if u have it to spare.

fpp claims +18-22 witha Bpipe

Steves orininaly post from this thread states this pipe will be 20 more than a B pipe....

so is this thing really going to produce +40HP?????????????????

I know dry pipes produce more power......but that seems like a bit much

whats holding you up?

youve been "drafting 66v bigbore" for like a year now......

I have been waiting on the new dry pipe that is about 2 weeks away from my door.......I have seen the pics. PV had to be cut down then I will test run it. I did not want to run the wet pipe so it set me back a good while

billet shmillet,not the point

the same basic components for nearly double the money

The big difference is that if/when the Malone pipe becomes available, it will ACTUALLY be available. Jeff has been just about to produce the good stuff for years now. So far it hasn't come to pass. Even the guys with his 1200 say the Malone package smokes it. I also think the price of Malone's pipe will come down. The market won't bear a $1750 pipe in large quantities. I suspect it will get within range of other dry pipes. Also, for the length of time the big GP800 motor has been available for conversion to the SJ, there's a serious lack of anyone running them with much success. If it really was the ticket, there would be some actual success stories. All hype IMO.

Points well taken. . . . .but I still think the 66e makes a good amount of sense. The malone pipe will be a nice addition if it is all it is cracked up to be. Both the new 66e pipe and the EME pipe will be welcome additions to the scene

That thing is only a one cylinder! That is where all your problems are....

Just kidding, I know it has another not installed. But I did blow up a ski once and it only ran on one cylinder. Needless to say it had a little bit of power loss.

Well, I had the pleasure of spending 12 days in the Bahamas with Eric Malone and Mark (his tech) and having some great conversations regarding the direction of our sport and possibly the development of a New EME FP exhaust system for the superjet. As many know, Mark was involved with the development of the dry pipe and many other FP products. According to dyno specs, this exhaust system should produce 20 hp more than the B pipe:cool2
What they want to see is a general interest for a new exhaust system. The price range will be about $1000 for the complete system that would include an in-line reasonator prior to reaching the rear exhaust outlet.

What happened??

I guess the development process was more costly then espected. the price will drop when full production starts but if you want it now (like me) , you got to pay to play:barrel:

If/when I become convinced that it really is something vastly better than what's available I'll buy one also.

duh :stooges::icon16:

i would say 40hp on a superstock motor . we went from b-pipe to this and immedtite 20% plus power . so 40 hp is possible but who really cares about numbers No Dynos so its all crap it is a 20% increase in power feel . if . you would buy a dasa cylinder to get 10-20 % and thats 3-$6000 built why not spend $1750 . best investment for me and besides to the doubters sell your b-pipe $700 right there .

I am confused on one thing though....

is it supposed to add +20 or +40 overall? (rough #'s of course)

Originally it was stated as +20 over the Bpipe.....
