New EME exhaust system for superjets!

Well, I had the pleasure of spending 12 days in the Bahamas with Eric Malone and Mark (his tech) and having some great conversations regarding the direction of our sport and possibly the development of a New EME FP exhaust system for the superjet. As many know, Mark was involved with the development of the dry pipe and many other FP products. According to dyno specs, this exhaust system should produce 20 hp more than the B pipe:cool2
What they want to see is a general interest for a new exhaust system. The price range will be about $1000 for the complete system that would include an in-line reasonator prior to reaching the rear exhaust outlet.

Before I would even consider buying one, I'd like to see back to back dyno runs where this pipe will produce 20hp more than a Bpipe.

Steve, do you mean the pipe will be similar to a FP but manufactured by EME or it will be manufactured by FP? I'm confused.

We ride out on the Mississippi and it takes me one gallon just to get back to the ramp with a ported 701 and I just make it most of the time unless I see a nice wave and play for another minute.

if it will work with the wdk tank that would be the hot setup imo.that tank holds 6 gallons, its just shaped different than the stocker.to do this the battery would also have to moved to the bulkhead but i think it would be worth it.i could never use a small tank either.i ran my stocker dry all the time!

I have a plan to use the handlepole as the gas tank for 2 advantages, no gas tank in the hull so you have room for a cooler, plus the carbs will be gravity fed, so no fuel pumps needed so the ski will be lighter too.

On the subject of the pipe, I think it would be a great addition, and if it really performs, well worth the $$$ and someone will come up with a bigger gas tank to match it, or Waterdawg's will work already (as long as he will produce/ship them in a timely manner).

I like the thought process, but adding even 2 - 3 gallons of gas to your handpole could add another 25 lbs.

so is a waterbox used or not?
and what about the front exhaust?

Looks like no box, inline resonater (old school style) and depending on how long the resonater is you may not be able to run "front exhaust" maybe out the side but further back. But then again the pic doesnt show enough to really determine how its setup.

holy chit it does look a lot like Jeff's pipe.......................hey Erik, if you make this will you answer your phone..........................and ship the prouduct.....................sorry, is that a direct shot at Jeff...................your goddamn right!!!!!

(dont mean to threadjack) today marks my one month wait for a chinpad. its for a stock handlepole. imo, it doesnt seem like it would take that long to slap one together. but i do know that he has been swamped with hulls to make and ship. but those things have gotta have time to set up huh? u think he could knock one out while waiting?

why not just make a tank that is formed so the exhaust could wrap right around it, i would think you could make one similar to stock style that would hold near 4 gallons
