On the subject of the pipe, I think it would be a great addition, and if it really performs, well worth the $$$ and someone will come up with a bigger gas tank to match it, or Waterdawg's will work already (as long as he will produce/ship them in a timely manner).

But what about when agressive riders (not me) sub under? Would the gas tanks inlet allow water into the tank? What about when you flip? Would it starve the engine and cause lean conditions?

Dont take it as bashing, these are just my first thoughts

How is that different from a regular OEM gas tank?

(OEM Gas tanks can let water in when the ski is sunk)

Yeah, no diff what size your tank is, the fuel still moves on its own when the ski gets tossed.

Running a better pickup than OEM is a good remedy to fuel cutting out at times. Although its usually only when your on the last 1/4 of the tank.

I think there is several options already. A tank @ 3.5-4 gallons would be nice and it would just take time to create the shape. I'm sure you could find one that would work, we just don't know where yet.

Im not referring to that. Think about the average rider with some mechanical skill. The hood is directed so that water goes to the bottom of the ski. I dont know about you guys, but Ive experienced water filling my tank (in stock setup) however I disconnect that and let it sit on top the tank. That way, I know water wont touch it, no matter what, unless its sunk.

I just realized, you could rig the intake for air (so it doesnt develop negative pressure) being in the ski if you did it right, making it the exact same thing as what I do.

But if you leave the intake for air outsied and dive under, using gas, I usually get water in my tank.

it is a reality . the pipe is being manufactured at the moment . you have to get into foundry schedules and so forth eta i would say is by havasue . some may sneak out before then .

It is interesting, because Factory Pipe had the Dry Pipes coming out about 2 months after the SXR hit the showrooms... They can produce them if they want...... I am figuring this pipe is just a project that they are putting on the back burner.

Not a lot of money to make either from selling stand up pipes.

well these are not being sold by factory pipe so it does really have to with them . if it was up to them they would not be made because they would have done it 10 years ago . but they are being made by eme so that changes everything . sometimes i dont think guys understand how much time it takes to make this stuff or develope all the little details . for small companies who are trying to pay the bills and make new products that may or may not sell . anyways i know i will have one in the near future so i am cool with waiting it better then riding a b pipe for 10 more years .

What about the rumor that Ross is selling out to Eric??? Could that be the 'delay'? Sometimes business 'buy/sells' get hairy and real drawn out.
