Clearly you are less than informed or knowledgeable on anything if you dont know the story on krash junk. Where TF have you been? This stuff is Chinese crap.
From Kavinci/Krash: "All motor components including the complete drive-train are designed and manufactured in its Australian Facility based in Seaford."

Maybe Australian crap but not Chinese!

Had conversation yesterday or saturday about Krash. The Hulls are fine. The Predator rides pretty damn good. Close to my Edge. But there is no way in hell I would use anything else (Motor - Driveline), Hell, dont think I would use their pole either..........
Actually the pole isn't bad. Got one on that fake rickter I bought from birdbrain. I haven't had any issues at all with all the beating it's taken over the years. Kind of ugly chin pad setup tho. Ski lost spark a season ago so I kicked it aside

I can tell your blood pressure is up lmao! But oh jetski overlord please grant us but a small sliver of your infinite jetski knowledge, bestow upon us but one single piece of real evidence that the 1200 is an unworthy engine. I yearn for your teachings.

You have nothing...
Please buy the junk and find out since you obviously are a school of hard knocks advocate. Idgaf if you believe me or not. I'm listening to somebody that has the junk in their hand and knows . I'm not trying to fool anybody or promote the sale of crap. I was lied to and told this 1200 had 6hrs on it with no spark. If that were true it wouldn't have been torn down to find it's problems.

I wanted to take your advice, so I was asking why it was crap. It was never that I didn't believe you.

I know a local guy to me that bought one of the rtr 1200 efi reapers. It was delivered to him around August of 2022. The first weekend of riding it, the fuel pump quit working due to a bad connection on the fuel pump Connector. He was able to repair it with a soldering iron.. it seemed like every weekend he was fixing something else on his brand new ski. I can't even remember all of the issues he had in the beginning. He was determined to make it reliable. He ended up replacing at least half of the efi components to keep it going. After the first season, he pulled the engine out to have it modified..when the crank was removed, both inner crank seals were shot and he had to have to crank rebuilt. Once rebuilt he then discovered one of the main connectors on the efi harness was bad, and he was unable to replace or repair it. He then swapped a 760 in that he was unhappy about the power with. This is only engine related issues. He also had issues with the steering system as well. He's currently trying to sell the hull and I believe he already sold the kv1200.

The route LS took with the S1 seems like a much MUCH better package ready to ride. Despite how people sometimes feel about SBT engine componentry. Makes you wonder if Krash ever considered taking that route as well.

He spent some time playing with the efi tuning and replaced several components with oem and got running pretty well and reliable. He pulled the engine out to have it ported and that's when the crank and wire harness issues were found. I want to clarify I'm not trying to bash anyone/brand, just stating unbiased facts of his experience.. this is a very difficult market to make a living solely off of and to have either the ls or krash rtr for the price point it is can't be easy with today's economy. You have to pick two- cheap, reliable, powerful.

I tuned a 997 engine for a mate a while back. I don’t really tune other people’s skis anymore—I’m too busy, and to be honest, I just can’t be bothered. We installed a Zeeltronic ignition but kept the stock carbs, and surprisingly, it ran really well.

I told him I could make it go, but I couldn’t guarantee how long it would last—these engines are known to be weak. There’s been plenty of talk about the 997, and most of it is true, for good reason. One thing I heard was that running high-compression domes would cause it to burn through spark plugs every tank. But in this case, we got lucky—the plugs are still holding up fine after 3–4 months of hard riding.

It’s running our V3 curve, and with the high-compression domes, it really comes alive. The only issue is that the pipe is way too wet and needs drying out, but we haven’t had a chance to sort that yet since he hasn’t been back. Maybe this winter, we’ll tweak it some more.

Personally, I wouldn’t own a 997 or 1200 engine—they’re just too fragile. But I have to admit, I’m surprised at how well this one runs.

It's a shame everyone jumped on the let's hate on krash bandwagon and never tried to work together and come up with some solutions and upgrade parts to make them run better.. I for one would love an efi based ski because I'm getting tired of turning screws on carburetors..

I agree. My 2 stroke snowmobiles and dirt bikes are fuel injected and just run great all the time. It'd be nice to have my 2 stroke jetskis on that level. Unfortunately Krash seems to be the only company trying to move in that direction. Would've been great to see Yamaha do a fuel injected 2 stroke with the superjet instead of going to a 4 stroke superjet.

Upgraded parts don't fix major design flaws and the designer not ever caring that it's junk which it is. The power valves don't even open or open evenly and that's just one issue. The cylinder sleeves hanging down into the cases are another major crap issue restricting intake flow. You guys never been in there and if you were, you didn't even have the knowledge to know what you were looking at

This is the kind of helpful specific information I was asking for a few weeks ago when you wouldn't give any. As I said before, I'm genuinely interested in learning about the issues these have. Like I said, mine definitely had issues when I first got it but I eventually got it running good. What other issues do you know of that you can share?

I know it's easy enough to just say that people don't have any knowledge, but for those of us that are trying to increase our knowledge and learn more about this stuff, comments like that aren't helpful. I'm 8 years into my jetski journey now and I've definitely learned a lot over the years after starting from zero. But I have a lot more to learn and am constantly trying to learn more, everyone's gotta start somewhere!

Sorry, no dice, should've got into it 40 years ago when they were accepting new members. You missed your chance and now this forum serves to goad over those who are trying to learn.
