Custom/Hybrid New XS built 855 in Superfreak

Built and motor swapped this little beast in one day past friday with the help of two friends sj762 and spjt (thanks again guys). Thanks to Chuck at XS for building the special topend with Blowsion 850 to 900 sleeves, CR 500 89.5 mm pistons and his magic. Also added new XS modded 46 carbs with reed and case stuffers, along with an epoxied/ramped manifold. And thanks to Pat and Rick at XS for the special service. Tricky provided bored and epoxied cases and sj762 did the case porting. Motor pulls great and I was able to do my first boat wake flip with full rotation yesterday with a 13/17 small hub concord. Will be adding a solas mag and hooker 10/16 next weekend. The last pic compares a stock 701 cylinder next to the 855 and shows the size difference of exhaust port. Should be a fun motor for surf and boat wake.

Got a new hooker 10/16 today to install in a solas mag this weekend. Hmmm maybe I need a antigravity battery now to compensate for the added 5lb mag.

That's the goal ! Working on setup wakes and height now...we'll see. Might need a lesson or two from a flatwater rider and plenty of practice.

You are correct, dual purpose ski is the goal.

Good to know...some like the skats better than hookers for added midrange potential. sj762's XS 760 does great with the 10/16.
