Not Funny and @#$% UP !

I agree with this too. I mean, someone would have to REALLY have it out for you to take that sort of time. Then, to chance someone catching them with so many riders walking around all weekend, it'd take some huge balls. Where was the can? We have a trailer that we lock gas cans in for the weekend, but no one took advantage of it & we had certified security on the beach Saturday night.

yeah.... it would have to be a conspiracy against you... at least a few people.. just think of planning that out so you would not get caught.. it would take at least 4 people

I'm wondering what could have been put in it instead to ruin that can, and that would be more feasible to do, like putting sugar in someone's tank on a car.

Sucks no matter what.

Because I am a Moron, I put the 15 gallons in my Dirt bike....
My wifes truck and my truck.. because I did not want to waste it.
My truck ok.. Bike ran funny yesterday, and wifes brand new 4runner
is in the shop as we speak, with all sorts of lights on.....
truck under warranty... OOPS...

I just thankful i did not put in ski !!!!!!!

Drum and gas was from Goose (bill).... Smelled like
race fuel when I got it from chris at Flatwater Friday !!!!
could not see color... but smelled like it...

So i dont know...

A small amount shouldn't give the 4runner problems, but leaded fuel can give new cars problems. If your wife's car was low on gas when you added it, the engine/cat/sensors would see a pretty straight dose of lead. Also, Goose said he was gonna bring you a different fuel from C-12 and see if you could tell a difference. Maybe it's just different than what you're used to. The fuel I run doesn't smell anything like regular race gas. Who knows.

yeah, most likely something was added to it to make it bad, but I still don't see one of our group doing it. Maybe one of the locals was pissed about the jet skiing and wanted to make a statement, but that too is highly unlikely IMO

I am on a contract with VP i get a years supply of fuel from them every year to dyno race engines with and give them feedback and also test new fuel.Vp does this with similar businesses in the racing industry.I gave Pete this fuel from my drum it was c-14.pump gas doesnt come close to smelling like c 14.Im probly as jerked as pete is about this because I did it to help pete out and we also talked about gettin him hooked up on a deal with Vp.This would have not only benifited him but vp would have given the freestyle jetski world more exposure so everyone was benifiting from this.
Pete if you can get a sample ill send it out and have it tested and let you know what it was.

That, actually, sounds pretty likely. :scratchchin: I don't think people travel to Freerides to f@$# with other riders.

To me, it seems a little far fetched that a local who doesn't want jet-skiers replaced the fuel.

First, they'd have to do it without anyone seeing. They'd also have to have a hand pump with them or it'd take hours. They'd have to have an empty container along with a container full of regular gas. They'd also have to know that running regular gas in a race gas engine will jack it up.

How many people do you think know about race gas and know that much about engines? MAYBE 10% of the population is my guess. I didn't know a darned thing about race gas till I started riding. Ask everyone out there and I suspect almost all of them will say 'gas is gas', and the ones that don't most likely won't know exactly what causes 1 gas to be 'better' then another.

If it happened to me, I wouldn't suspect foul play unless I knew someone was pissed at me.

The big question, for me anyways: is there lead in the gas? If so, how much?

Could it be 100/110LL? I've no first hand experience with AV gas so don't know what they look/smell like.

as me and ags0702 were loading up at first street (i guess) parking lot, some dude was standing there yelling at us.... pretty funny. I was told he had been doing it Saturday as well.

i agree there had to be alot of effort put into stealing your gas
what was in the can before? could the race gas smell be left over fumes from before?
i could see the high octane messing up the 4 runner well atleast the cat

Wasnt race... It was regular and I think truck beef was Coincedince.. lol spelling....

Computer was going wack in the truck so that was not it. but did not find that out till later in the day....

I am sure it was not race... Goose (bill) said the pic i sent to him and the one that i posted with the yellow gas, was not the Orange that he put in there.. It was switched... I dont know what or how.. or why..
Guess, I'm gettin an enclosed.. LOL

Pete,

Sorry to hear this man. I know for a fact that the C-12 is usually purple/bluish.

What gets me is this..who the hell would do some :):):):) like this? the ball of some people are really bothering. Like everyone there saw how many people were always walking around, at all hours. At least thats how it was in the parking lot, I never went into the parking garage, but I'd assume there were people walking around there too. It's pretty easy tp pick out a fellow jet ski rider as well, usually geared up in ski clothes etc.

C-12 drums...dont they require a special drum wrench just to be able to get into the damn things? they are definitely not light either, I've carried a drum like that so I know it's an awkward thing to carry.

Any how, i hope the bastard that stooped that low gets what he/she deserves.
