Just the time you will have to babysit the 5200 to keep it from running away from the tube.That will be a pain

Set ski on its tail and tape off backside. Tape off outside for a clean edge on the firewall. Fill the gap with 5200. And do backside as messy/neat as u wish. Viola.

Or use fast cure 5200, it's much thicker. from what I've witnessed it's equally as strong.

I like the build so far. I hope to see myself with a used am hull in a year or so.

Uhh yeah... Just takes like a freaking week to cure. Seems that if you use it on a pump shoe and it doesn't have adequate time to dry it shows up in the wear ring........ just a theory

Figure I am good on curing time. Will install tubes tonight and seal up. Tomorrow will stand up and seal up from inside. Then this weekend I can start putting the tray back in. If not mistaken you can take a spray bottle and mist it and it will speed up the curing time.

Nope, ran out of silicone like 3/4 of the way through and all I had was black 5200 left....

Have not decided, thought about just foaming the section where the waterlines are, the stringer seperates the left side and right side. Or just put some insulation board down in there. May go ahead and foam it all. Not decided.

Just chill with the 5 minute long fountains and you should be good without foam

I would foam it and add some tray drains. If no other reason than to add some more structure to the tray where it was cut open.

Polystyrene as tight as possible.

Have Tray drains for the rear. Luckily I cut right over 2 of the 3 stringers. Think I will foam at least that area.
