****UPDATED PRODUCT AND PICTURES****

You can thank ScottS for my latest product. The "Surf Armor" Toggle Switch.

After much encouragement from Scott I finally decided to turn his re-occurring request into a marketable product. The "Surf Armor" Toggle Switch is an Environmentally Sealed Military rated, single pole, single throw toggle switch with #16 tinned marine leads soldered into the main body and encapsulated in chemical and salt resitive epoxy Potting material. Finished with protective loom and Japanese style connectors, this is the perfect accessory to top off any one of my Tidy Bilge kits, your own wiring or any of your switching needs including Total Loss.

The price for the updated "Surf Armor" switch is $45 plus shipping and handling.

I will still offer the Military Toggle in stock form for those who prefer it at a price of $30 plus shipping and handling.

I like it Boyer. But I want it to go in the original choke-cable hole in the dash. It looks (hard to tell) a bit small in diameter for that, and is it long enough to make it thru the bulkhead + nuts & fender washers (if dia is too small)?

I'm currently twisting 2 wires together in the engine compartment prior to going out. My wammer switch was good, but I ruined it. Pulled it apart trying to get some more slack....the lazy way. lol.

Your price is better, and if you think I can use it as above.....payday is Friday.lol!

There is as much thread on these as there is on the rotary switches so they should fit thru the Bulkhead just fine. Mine gets thru my thicker bulkhead, a layer of turf and the Blowsion Switch Guard, mind you the turf is compressed a bit under the switch. If you don't have the guard then a stainless fender washer works too.

If you want to wait till Daytona you can try one out there before you buy.

Cool. I'll pm ya.
I'm tired of the "ritual" I go thru when going out and coming in to twist/untwist wires. (2 hood straps, latch, limiting rope...on and off and on and off...ACK!)

P.s: I have the bulkhead plus the OEM dash...kind of..

Do you leave your lanyard on your ski all the time Dan? If not, I am just putting the finishing touches on a relay so your bilge pump(s) will come on whenever you plug in your Lanyard.

It will be plug and play with any of my harnesses and fit snuggly under the ignition coil in the Superjet E-box.

It's not my ideal configuration and I hope to improve upon the design to function off the start/stop switch eventually but this is one a customer has requested special and is ready to go. (I am making extra).

I use a lanyard. However, I'd prefer to use the switch for the bilge.. I generally just leave it run while riding. (one less thing to think about while facing an epic crunch) lol.

Pumping out after washdown, Taking a floating break etc...

And I'd like to avoid running more wires up the pole.

There would be no additional wires required for th erelay, everything would be in the ebox but I feel the same way regardless. If I become seperated from my ski, I want that bilge running. The relay will allow me to connect up my 3 position rotary switch as On/Off/Auto though. On is On, Off is Off and Auto comes on as long as the lanyard is attached. My customer hasn't requested a way to turn his off but I'm going to incorporate a way just in case he changes his mind.

I swapped out a couple of regular toggle switches for the new "Surf Armor" toggles this weekend and thought I'd post some pics. I sold Andy the first switch a couple months back so it hasn't even been in the salt that long and the terminals are already showing corrosion, even with grease on them. In fact, it looks like the thick grease actually trapped salt and made it worse. Anyways, I will have 15 more "Surf Armor" switches to have on hand for Daytona if anyone wants to come on down and check them out. I will be in the booth with Trinity, NOVI and Kommander Ind.

I also included a couple pics from the install I did on my ski to add a toggle switch to my RRP handpole to switch between curves on my EPIC Ignition.

After several weeks of testing different compounds I finally found one I was happy with and have made a couple updates to the "Surf Armor" switches. The rubber I used originally wasn't bonding to the switch casing well enough to meet my standards so I recalled all of the few I sold and went back to the basics. After several trials I settled on a new adhesive potting compound from 3M and am back in production. I have 4 switches available now with 6 more in the molds. They will be finished with terminals and loom unless you specify you want it left bare for you to connect up anyway you wish.

Price per switch will be $45 plus shipping and handling.

Here are the updated pics for your viewing pleasure.

All orders are packaged and shipping out tomorrow. Here's a couple I did up for a fellow member, they are for use with a handlebar mounted switch and are supplied with simple crimp and seal connectors.

Glad you like them Stan, Scott and Andy got theirs last weekend.

Was there any problems putting them in? Did you happen to snap any pics you could post for others to see?
