I think even if some 3rd party would take it in for repair, I would trust only Canon at this point. The ring needs to be replaced, and the sensor needs a good cleaning (better than the camera store blow down)
I am just an amateur, so perhaps Ronny can give some more detailed advice.

Suzi...those are some very cool pics. Eddi,Taylor and Mike are a blast to watch ride,they all have that super smooth feel,they just flow from one hit to the next.its not hard to tell they all ride cali surf ALOT.

Matt – thx! I owe Ronnie an email with some pics, so I’ll ask when I get to that point. His initial advice was, “Never take the camera off from around your neck, and sit it down”… TOO late!

Torr- funny thing is, I still haven’t really watched Taylor or Serlin ski during all the trips out there (Ross either, LOL). I’m too busy yappin (imagine)! I have focused in on JB, Cuong and Andrew though (sexa riders, lol). :cheer:

Yup! I've never dropped my camera either! If anyone else takes a photo with mine, they MUST put it around their neck. My biggest fear is dropping it.
