i'm thinking about it. would probably look into a set of tom21 or #zero's.

got a lot of work to do though before that happens.

thanks for the compliment though

I have # zeros on my RN, and I love them, so does everybody else who rides it.
My girls RN has destroyers and mine is much more stable, even with the hull shortened 4.5in.

so i got all my through hull fittings curing up with 5200. need to mount up the exhaust tube. may do that tonight if i can get some sanding done first. Hope to be foaming this weekend and putting the tray back in.

Alright fellas, went to mount the exhaust tube tonight and it wasn't sitting flush to the hull. Do I need to lower the exhaust tube at bulk head ? It looks necessary but want to be sure before I cut yet another hole.

Did u cut the piece off and move it forward or make a new piece wen I move mine forward I had to bend the flange a tad and it was perfect the 5200 & rivets

I haven't cut anything, just pushing it further in the hull. So am extra 3 in will be in the engine bay, but it looks like it should be lower at the bulk head to sit flush. Looking for more feedback

not sure exactly what you did. When we lowered our, the old holes rivet holes didn't line up. Try spinning the tube, there should be some point where it sits flush.

And who cares, whats another hole ;)

exhaust tube successfully lowered, and foam in today. I plan on getting the lower tray area shaped tomorrow. I need to cut out my foot holds from the hold tray insert.

some genius on these forums decided to plant a seed in my head on lowering the tray and widening as well, which means more work. Thanks Kevin
look for photos tomorrow

I don't know how crazy you want to get, but I did something along the lines of that in my current build
IMAG0780.jpg

- I went 100% polystyrene for my refoam and instead of chopping down and using the stock inner gunwales I just made new forms with the XPS foam. Worked out pretty well - and I used something similar to garolyte for the widened outer walls so I could strengthen them and make my tray as wide as possible (21.5"!) They will also be host's to an adjustable foothold system I've designed. plenty of options for you! I wish I would have started my build with a 701 SN!!!

i'll make the tray flush with the top of the pump cavity and will just taper the gunwales back not going to go that wide so that there's minimal structure to it. but will be wider compared to OEM and will still maintain some half way decent lines i hope.

photo copy.JPGRear end, exhaust mounted. still some gentle sanding and smoothing is required.
photo.JPGTray with one of the foot holds sitting in place. It may not be lowered after all. We'll see.
photo copy 2.JPGengine bay with lowered exhaust. still some cleaning up on the bulk head is required
