I see all the time (wanted long exhaust hose) Well haha I am at that same road now and looking at my option's. I have some other exhaust hoses with elbow's ect. They are the correct I.D. and I don't see any reason not to use a hose on the waterbox end to make the transition, then being a straight shot to the through hull pipe and then use a 12" or so long hose on the through hull exhaust end but then use a aluminum pipe to fill the gap in between! I know about vibration concern's and so on but just thought I would throw it out to you guy's to shoot holes in it. So to speak lol. What are other's thought's? Thank's Craiger

I plan to use aluminum or a composite tube on my upcoming build. That rubber hose that I have just flops around and gets in the way...maybe it's just getting old.

Someone on here made one out of CF. Looked sick!

Here are a couple pics I saved:

Cool yeah that does look nice thank's.I plan to use aluminum or a composite tube on my upcoming build. That rubber hose that I have just flops around and gets in the way...maybe it's just getting old. __________________It sure seem's like the exhaust hose is a common problem. I am going to go ahead and use an aluminum tube in between. I just wanted to ask and see if I was missing something. Thank's Craiger

The nice thing with the oem hose is you can get the fuel tank out without taking the exhaust apart as it will collapse. If you use the one I gave you perhaps use a tube and the curved portion up front for your connector, and a few inches of the straight part for a rear coupler. Have a muffler shop put a slight bend in it if needed to follow the hull contour.

I have 'alternative' RN long hoses from another yamaha, so it is the same oem quality material.

Very, Very true this is!!!!!!!! Its a pain with a hard tube to remove the tank. You have to remove a hard tube firts and that DOES SUCK, you will curse yourself later. Spend the $85 and forget about it.
