Works fine, had to do that on the Blaster cause some idiot cut the long hose at the firewall.

A stock 550 waterbox is made out of SMC and a SN waterbox is fiberglass, I just never thought about it really. I would be curious to what temperature is at the exhaust tube. I realize all of the application's differ but kind of interesting.?? One thing for sure you don't read about people melting the foam out of there hull.

I can vouche for pvc. I used some PVC side exhaust plumbing on my SJ for 2 years. Looked like the day I put it on in the inside and out when I took it off.

Not to mention: Ultra light.

Warm it properly and you can bend it to the perfect shape.

My green ski build for daytona has one of these cut down further and used with a xmetal waterbox.

It is not an aftermarket hose, it is OEM yamaha from a couch. Same oe quality rubber.

i use pvc, my long hose got a split and i replaced it the cheap way. everyone says my ski sounds badass now!

if you guys are worried about temp on plastic pipe use 636 gas vent its white and can take a lot of heat that is what we use on hi efficncy furnaces, costs double the abs, home depot sells the 636 pipe

After it comes out of the water box it shouldn't be too hot. I may also T off from one of the pisser lines and pump some water into it to keep it cool.

i agree with you i used abs on my rear exhaust x2 never a issue and i had my factory pipe running real warm

As of now, my only issue may be that it sits too low. The factory hose has a bend in it so it goes up a bit over the battery then slants down to the pipe that goes out. I won't know for sure till I set the motor in. But it certainly looks cool!
