I just trimmed my XMW chinpad to make room for the bars moving more forward. Works and looks great . I'll get a photo how I trimmed it up. Looking forward to see what Scraggly comes up with.

@DAG whAt do I use for a chin pad? I have a stock pole.
Congrats on the win! As far as chinpads pretty much all chin pads have to be trimmed for any OVP systems bc the bars are considerably further forward then every other steering on the market.

Thanks. I've been running without a pad because the pole is a lot lighter and it's easier on my back.

I have a 4x6x9 yoga block out I was going to try at different angles. But now I won the steering so I might just go really tall, strap the pole down and ride it as a fixed steer. Then weight won't matter.

I just need to get some bars on Wednesday and mock it all up. Any suggestions on bar styles? I was debating between a nice rake like a quad or a straight set I can rotate....

OVP shines when you have your body over the pole kinda like in a fix steer. Surf guys love them bc when they are riding the face of a wave your in that position.

As far as bar preference it's hard to say. I've only ran RRP straight bars as with most people. I know @Scraggly is running some MX bars that are swept back slightly and he loves them. I think it's all preference and what you get use to.

Riding with riser bars, OVP steering, and a pole pad is an absolute awesome feeling.. The first day I got OVP steering I swear I spent a lot of time with my pole on the hood because it was so different!

Just wanted to say I just got home from burning another 5 gal of av110 with this steering and bar setup and it's the best I've ever owned. I would say this if I hated dag. This setup is spot on for me. I listed part number for my bars and can't beat his steering. And I'm also running all the way back not ovp. Couldn't be happier. Has really re kindled my spirit to ride.

I'm not running it over pivot yet all the way back.

What bars do you have and how do you like them. I grabbed a set of pro taper mx bars today that look like yours but they seem extremely wide. Much wider than my current superjet bars.

I listed the part number before in thread. I paid about 50 shipped for them. They are wider, but has made such a difference. @Vumad

I really like them. Didn't think I would. I can keep my pole down on hood a lot more now with shock pad and it's similar to fix steer. Best of both worlds IMO
