I bought this as a compromise between my girls and I. They want a paddle boat...I don't. Never ridden one of these before, but from reading up they sound like a decent pleasure cruiser and are stable as hell. I got a decent deal on hull ($80) and a 750 sx engine long block ($625 w/electrics), pump ($50). Still have some parts needs and a serious cleaning, minor body work, prime and paint. Color will be Raspberry Metallic Pink with black trim/turf. Shooting for end of March maybe first week of April for launch. Trying to keep budget as close to $1000 as possible. Already spent $755. It's gonna be close. I need the following parts if you have any of them, PM me.

650 or 750 OEM exhaust
Intake grate
Kawi Impeller
Black diamond Hydroturf sheets x2 (whole sheets)

Here she is in all here glory. It'll be fun.

I have a stock intake grate, a complete 650 exhaust system, a complete 750 exhaust system both from freshwater skis and a stainless impeller, I haven't pulled the impeller yet but my guess is its a 16 degree pitch. Will sell parts outright or trade for SN superjet parts.

I am looking for a SN midshaft, driveshaft, pump exit nozzle, a stainless impeller, and a stock ride plate . LMK

Commonly known in these parts as a "super couch".

Buddy of mine has one with a 750 in it with a pipe and carb. Not too shabby running.

Two whole sheets of turf? You gonna turf the entire thing?

FYI, hydroturf has the two tone turf in sheets of salmon/black for $40 a sheet in the closeout section. I bet a week of sun on that salmon colored turf will make it look pink and black. Might work out in your favor.

One last thing... Is that big mamma jamma going to fit on your lift?

Prolly not gonna fit on my lift. Was thinking of putting this beached whale on a fat-arse ramp. May need to modify my existing ramp or build a new one on the seawall. Neighbors are building a new boat house/dock and might need to get those guys to do a quick ramp for me (without DNR knowing either). I'm planning on turfing the tray and side of footwells where there is already matting, bond rail and the rear deck/trunk as some small gelcoat cracks that I was going to mask with a bit of turf. I saw the idea on a few other builds...I think this one was done by sflsurfrider.

I'm gonna rock this boat with a hat and a feather and be pimpin' ho's all over this lake. Let the haters hate.

Here's a few others I found for build inspiration. Laserman did some real nice builds on his.

That last blue one with the roll bars....bad azz!

It's so funny watching him and those hairless Chinese dogs ride around on the bench seat.

Dam naked azz dogs! l bet that's a hoot watching jerry roll down the lake with his buddys.

Got some more done. Middle of week I scrubbed it from stem to stern inside. Started with a Tilex spray and soak. Scrubbed with laundry detergent, wire bristle brush x2 and then washed it all down. I left it to dry but got torrential rain for a day and half. Got it dried out today.

I found 3 areas needing repair.
1. Underside of nose area (in the fore cavity/front hatch) there was a crack with frayed fibers about 8" long. Not through and through but enough that if an unsuspecting friend put enought stress on it might break.
2. Rear trunk deck around the lip. Approx 4-6" that was through the hull.
3. Rear tow hole recess was rotted to hell. It had some half-arse repair from way back with a piece of wood screwed through the hull from front with a sheet of fiberglass covering the whole area.

Sanded all areas with 60 grit. Cleaned and glassed over them all with 17oz biax and some epoxy from Mcdog (thx). The nose got a single sheet of 17oz and the rear deck got 2 layers, both with about a 2" side to side overlap. I cut out the entire rear tow hole recess and layed 2 layers of biax and a third strip of 8oz weave along the bond line. I made a mold from the outside of ski with a paper towel tube that was cut and coated with wax paper and secured in place to provide a curve for the recess. I'm gonna try and fill the front side of the recess with epoxy/microballons and some chop and then try to sand it smooth. I haven't tried that before. Any better ideas on how to fill the recess in order to prep for primer and paint?

- I got the engine about 2 weeks ago. 750SS dual carb, long block. It should bolt right up. Big shout out to OCJumper for a nice engine, great price and great packing. Engine showed up looking good. I'm gonna give it a little shine before install and clean the carbs.
- I've got a complete 750 pump w/ prop and redux nozzle and 4 engine mounts coming from bhicks. Happy 21st :Banane09:by the way...did you survive?
- WFOspeedracer just hooked me up on some parts swapping for a complete 750 exhaust and waterbox. Thx:beerchug:.

My girls ask me daily about when this thing is gonna get done. Work and living have a way of slowing down a build, but it's coming.
