I do in fact have one of those.

Sorry, I missed u Terry. I grabbed one off Ebay. I am in need of a few other parts though.

1. Fuel pickup assembly.
2. K&N dual flame arrestor for 44's
3. Seat hinge bracket/backing plates.

Got a few things done today and nearly a trip to the ER!

I got the engine and pump installed. I had to fab up some pump bolts as mine were too long. I wasn't paying close attention to the bolt binding up and pushed the pump insert out of the inside of the hull since my pump bolts were about a 1/4" too long. So I cut the four bolts to size and epoxied my fubar'd pump insert back into place. I was eyeballing the carbs with how the ebox sets directly above them bolted to the roof of the inside of the hull (see last pic). On the OEM 650 setup Kawi ran a single carb with a wierd ebox/resonator setup that was nearly half the size of the gas tank and it was strapped to the floor and fed the carb via a big bore tube. Strange?? I'm gonna scrap that idea due to my 750 dual carb setup. Laserman (blue engine pics) ran the same setup with a K&N filter that cleared the ebox so I need one of those for 44 Keihen's. Lastly I just assumed my gas tank was gonna be good to go....WRONG. The fuel pickup assembly was corroded but I figured that could be cleaned up and painted. When I pulled it out of the tank it was so gummed up even a full can of carb cleaner wouldn't touch it. The bottom of the tank had about 1/8" thick shellac in the bottom from what looked to be 10 year old fuel. I soaked it with some fresh gas and agitated it about 10" with good results. While agitating the gas, gently I mind you. I made the mistake of trying to look down into the tank before the gas had stopped moving. A well aimed slosh of gas/shellac mix shot right into my eye. I was crammed into my garage with parts, gas cans, tools and a lawn mower between me and the door. I managed to stumble through the mess and made it to the sink for a 10 minute flush session. My eye was burning the second that crap hit my eye. I figured I'd have a corneal injury/burn, but I got lucky, all's well now. Lastly, I'm dropping off the seat for reupholstry this week. Hope to get it back next week.

Let me check but I do believe I have a tank and a pickup tube for one of these here also. Also I am going to be doing some fiberglassing next week , let me know if you want me to pop off a fiberglass piece for the steering wheel center section. I am making one for mine to mount a fuel gauge in.

Lemme know on the fuel pickup assembly. I found a guy (Minnetonka4me) on PWC that was parting out 3 super chixs and he had that center piece I needed. He seems to be a good seller. Hit him up if you need an odd SC part he shipped fast for being in Minnesota.

Still curious where you're going to put that mammer jammer... The expensive standup might be taking a back seat on the ramp.

Yeah. I'm f'd on the hinge backing plates. I tried to order new oem's and they're not available. I'm gonna try to fab some out of stainless marine door hinges. I'll give minnetonka a shout too. Thanks Terry, sent u a pm.

This builds been on hold and sitting in my garage all last summer, fall, and winter! I'm finally motivated to get it rolling again. I got the seat back from the upholstery shop. It was pricey work ($200) but worth it IMO. The whole ski is covered with sanding dust from a SN I'm refurbing. No luck on locating new/better seat hinges. I just painted my old, worn out ones and hoped for the best.

Terry, I liked ur seat reupholstery job better than this one.

That price is in the ballpark but umm, errrrr the quality not so much lol
Upholstery is one of those things I do because I like doing it, I don't make a lot of money at it, very time consuming to do it right.I have a set of nice seat hinges here but you gonna have to come off yo pocketbook if you want em.

Terry u got any pics of ur ebox mount with those dual carbs. I used the stick ebox bracket and modded it to fit my STS 750 ebox, but there's no way to get the dual K&N flame arrestor to fit underneath! I was thinking maybe a couple of the ocean pro ones that r real low profile might work???

I ran across a spare set of seat hinges, they will need blasting and painting. Make me a reasonable offer and they are yours

No real progress pics, just final pics. I went at it off and on this past month and managed to get it done. Only thing left is to drill and tap the pump to accept my intake grate. Some of the body parts took a beating setting in the garage all year with yard tools and bikes hitting them.
Terry I decided to just block off that nipple on the water box.
Only part I'm missing is the rubber gasket that goes inside the steering column so u can't look straight down the column and see all the mechanicals...can't get those anymore, so it may be a hydroturf special someday. I got lazy and didn't replace the teal pad on steering either. Maybe I'll do that this off season. I don't want to wait any longer to water test. It's been a 2 year project with this fat biotch setting in my parking space. On a high note, I put a few drops of gas down the carb the throats and she fired up like new. I was surprised since the long block's been setting for 18 mos!

You'll have to excuse the garage mess and the mower parked next to her...it's a tight fit in here till this hog gets out.

Just my opinion but I had a small pin 750 in mine last time it ran, I used the stock 650 exhaust, truefully there was not a lot of difference in power, it pulled out of turns a little better, that was about it. Looking back I think that hose you are blocking off really does make a lot of difference, especially since the exhaust pipe is already shorter. You are looking at about a 30 minute job to drill and tap that flange for a fitting, its up to you but I know what I would do knowing what I know now.
