Im sure the hull will still hold some water so when on the shore or driving home I open the drain plug and let water drain and yes the lanyard is to stop loosing it ive lost one already and the plugs do not float

ya i think your right. the versa plugs iam using bolt on with two screws like that one, wonder if they are the same size. ill measure mine and let you know

The ball on this is about 10mm diameter

distance between screw holes, center to center? then diameter across the width of the retension plate?

I would have to bring a vernier home but judging by eye the 3 holes centers are roughly 38/40mm and diameter on plate is I think 46/48mm

Oh that im not sure on centers I think its standard yamaha drain plug centers

ill measure mine and send you a pic and the damensions. looks alot like the size and shape of mine, iam wondering if one like i have will fit their. iam at work now so later tonight

You could put a versi plug in your pump tunnel on the other side if you wanted to be sure all the water is evacuated.

Ok here are the measurements...for the base plate
screw hole to screw hole on centers 40mm
Horizontal width is 55mm
Vertical height is 32mm
Hole in plate with ball valve removed 20mm
Ball size 8mm

Check this out, just found it at blowsion, apparently it screws right into the base you already have? Another option

problem with my drain plug its got the same centers etc like yours but the thread is not like any other its super course


Ken if you ever want to sell the versi let me know i would like to put it next to my exhaust

You shouldve got the 701 surf plugs

I was going to get them but looking at the fitting they are quiet restrictive when open vs the versi that has no ball in the way of the opening when open

Surf plugs have screens , ive seen those versiplugs get stuck open

thats if you have crap from your bilge area?? my bilge area is sealed off so i got nothing to block it from my tray

besides its easy to fit a screen to these
