Lighter flywheel, MUCH hotter spark which cleans up tuning a bunch and an aggressive timing curve will all help. I've never ridden any aftermarket cdi/lightwwight flywheel combo that could mimic the power output of a properly set up MSD TL. We used to use Vilder fully programmable set ups with their proprietary total loss flywheel and it still wasn't as clean and hard hitting as a MSD TL.

Agreed, the TL makes way more power on most any setup. TL has many disadvantages but lack of noticable power improvement over over options isnt one of them.

I wonder how many people have a Jet Maniac sticker on their boat. I know I do, great company and great guys. I might have to look into one of those myself. Feedback on the plug would be a plus.

I was thinking one on each side would be better but you know one may do the trick. My ski has one engine bay scupper on one side and it lets all the water out so why wouldn't the same be true with the tray.. One thing I noticed with my tray drains is in a long no wake zone they let in water too. When I finally got to the boat ramp the tray was really low in the water so I pulled the noise onto the boat ramp just a bit, ski was heavy now and you know what the tray drained while it sat there and in few minutes the tray was floating again like normal. Iam like how is that even possible with the drains 8 to 10 inches below water and no forward movement....that drain should help you a lot Mical

Are you having the back end sealed? Mine has holes in the bulkhead so everything drains strait to the back so no need for the scupper tube.

Either way the water will still come out, i just run 2 701 surf plugs on each side with drain holes in the bulkhead. When will you have your hull?

Looks like a drain plug with a lanyard to keep from dropping it in the water and never finding it.
