Freestyle Power Factor Pipe Myth

"If you want to bump up the bottom end, take out the water box" i WOULD NOT recomend this . With this pipe design and no waterbox you run a HUGE risk of injesting water in the exhaust and impoling your motor. If your runnin big motors I hear water injection helps with bottom end. On another note, Dont think your getting away from Factory Pie by buying a PFP, Factory pipe makes these too.

there is a way bro, we have 7 of the truckload here and sold and thrust probably got 15-20. Keep in mind who makes alot of the components on these pipes. FP does and they will treat Mark right but right in their eyes is one letter from F_CK U. I hate FP with a passion. NO customer service. They are rude and could care less about this industry. I would Pay Mark at PFP more to let him deal with them. He knows the VERY Well, I beleive he used to work there. If you want one of these pipes then call Brian at Thrust. My guess is they will be gone in NO TIME.

If water is back feeding through your exhaust and into your motor then you should spend less time on the beach and more time riding. It would take a long time for water to backfill a motor, even with no water box. Hell I have an extra exhaust tube through a hull and it isn't even capped off and I've never had an extra drop of water in my hull.

How often do you have your ski land upside down and/or sideways, or without you on it? In other words, how much does your riding style represent the riding style targeted by the PFP pipe?

Just like scuppers, they are great if you can ride out of everything you do every time. Otherwise its a very bad idea. That never seems to get in the way of anyone sinking their skis of hydrolocking their engines.

jetmaniac rides with a scupper in the surf like every other weekend. thanksgiving weekend i watched him swim his ski in for about 15 minutes after running it out of fuel.

needless to say he didn't sink his ski. watched him tumble in the surf many times to. i don't understand why the bad rap on scuppers. i was against one to until i got one!

Scuppers get a bad rap for letting air out when the ski is upside down which let's water in through hood and pole breathers and sinks skis. This usually happens when a ski gets away from someone in the surf and they cannot get to it in time to turn it upright or when you let some weak girl ride the ski who somehow turns it upside down and doesn't have the strength to turn it back over.

I was under the impression that the waterbox for the pfp stopped the water from reaching the engine. Am I mistaken?

i think you misunderstand.

with a waterbox - no water back flow issues.

without a waterbox - water back flow issues.

I typed it incorrectly - I mean water getting into the motor WITHOUT a water box....

I was talking about using a scupper of some sort for the exhaust outlet to keep water from backing up through the exhaust into the motor.

Sorry. Somehow I missed the whole previous page of posts. Someone was working on a exhaust scupper a while back but never announced that they were released.

i rode my boat all day yesterday and landed 2 plate to plate flips, I'm loving my PF pipe. Zero issues and running the water box and scupper valve lol

Nice glad to hear pipe made a
Huge difference!!! Mines waiting for me at my house. Take a
Pic of your exhuast scupper please . Seems like it would cause more restriction . I
Can't believe that water would get back into the engine with a waterbox in line
