PF out of stock?
I hear ya Dk i don't want to make it any louder than it already has become. Im going with total loss after daytona to get that bottom end it needs. The boat you rode at WF, did it have a water box?
Anyone running one in an SXR yet?
I could probably sell my wet pipe for $600 and I was going to buy a TDR waterbox at $200....maybe someday. Though I'd have to say goodbye to river rides.
Botti ran a power factor on his World Finals SXR in 2009 or 2010. It was a power valve setup and the factory pipe dry pipe wouldn't fit. That ski screamed and was pretty slick. Billet cylinder designed to accommodate the yamaha style exhaust manifold, porting, and cooling passages.
In regards to the PowerFactor "myth".....a dry pipe will wake up any motor substantially as long as you can tune a ski. I'd take a dry pipe over a wet pipe any day of the week.
PF pipes did not really get popular until the box came out, apparently it was designed to increase bottom end performance and tone the Db's down. It all depends on the riding style, DK your riding style is completely different compared to mine. I mainly use mid to top grunt, everyones riding style is different. Theres not way PF is out of stock of pipes they received a truck load of them...literally a truck load hahaa
so if water getting into the motor with a box is an issue, why wouldn't someone come up with a scupper valve style set up for this pipe? I'm sure someone can design something.
