Got it fared and painted ish. I just got the hull done and there was a mild snafu.

It appears that I didn't put quite enough purple on or it absorbed into the more porous material a little bit faster before I cleared on the nose. I ended up with a bit of a tie-dye appearance. The paint says you can wait 48 hours and reapply so I'm going to grab some more and paint and clear over the affected area . It's not the end of the world.

The plus side is the surface is really smooth so it should be fairly quick work.

Additionally the turf might Clash with this color. I'm going to have to sleep on it but it looks Blue by comparison to the plum.

Good news everyone! Whatever phunky mess was going on last night fixed itself overnight. I'm actually thinking it was the clear coat being funny.

It Is in the sun. It looks really good. I was really concerned last night but most of my concerns are alleviated. It still needs a wet sand but probably not before I put it together and take it to Arizona. It will really shine like a penny I suspect.

I pulled the Pump shoe out of the old square and a pump. Not sure what this is all about but there is a little red conical peace floating on the drive shaft. I assume it's supposed to go in the front of the impeller but I'm not sure how it's supposed to be retained.

That red piece pushes into the prop like you said. The o rings should be on the other side of the red piece so when you push it in to place its a snug fit.

Thanks man. I didn't put this pump together myself it came with the ski and this is my first time seeing it. I'm still a noob when it comes to most of the stuff.

Those billet nose cones are crap IMO, especially if it doesn't have a set screw. Even with a set screw, I have still had them come loose. I only use the rubber ones now.

I'm sure I got one off of one of my couch pumps I can steal if they are an oem piece. I got my mid-shaft moved over so I can install the bilge pumps once the paint is finished drying.

I painted the hood and installed the hood seal. more pictures to come.

P.s. I think the colors will be fine. It looks like the hood is a little bit darker but it hasn't fully cured yet. The hull did the same thing

I glued the bilge pumps in and made some Matt I'm going to glue in for the water box and gas tank. I beveled The Edge a little bit. Good practice for the main Turf job. I installed the drain plugs. I also transferred all the strap hooks into the Hull.

The mats are glued in as is the pad for under the water box.

I got the pole modified and dropped the engine in. I need to figure out the ebox but I think I can run some studs to the toehold. Got about an inch of clearance between the e-box and the motor if I don't run the brackets.

Running last years motor for now. Going to put my ada head on it however.

Mocking the engine bay up. Going to have to remove some of it so I can install the pole bracket but I want to make sure everything fits.

The exhaust is completely mocked up. I'm not crazy about the long piece of aluminum tube but the couch hose I had had a bend in it so I made do. I will be coming up with a solution after my trip to Arizona.
