This weekend I played around with making my Front Only exhaust with X-Metal waterbox a little quieter.
Tip #1. Don't run a flow control valve. This will allow your Box to fill up with more water.
Tip #2. Run one of your cooling pissers to the outlet of the exhuast spraying up the hose toward the water box. I just drilled a hole, and put the pisser in the tip of the exhaust outlet. This little mod seemed to help big time as well.
The results made me very happy.... It turned out being far quieter then a front only Oem Roundnose waterbox setup. I had the quietest boat on the lake for the first time ever.:bigok:
I did loose a a small amount of off idle hit, but i think it should help me ride smother in the surf. For flatwater contests I will run the flow control to get that little bit back.... Its a small price to pay.
Help your friends hear again.
