My setup, my box looks like a tornado went through it! Started looking like that when i was working on this thing lololol

Had to open up the hole for the plastic stopper on the steering cable. Got that installed, just need ends and balls

Good thing i checked my scupper, it ripped right off, got another one ordered ATP.. I also put my versiplug on the inside of the hull tube and siliconed it in.

Got the pipe in for fitment, good thing i did, need to order some turf to cover around the pipe so it doesnt rub. Also need to figure out how the waterbox outlet situation is going as its angled up right into the carbs.

So what i didnt think about was how i was going to get my ski back into the truck by myself safely without dinging it with the motor and stuff in there. Thankfully i was still able to think at 10:30PM LOL!

Working on my total loss now, soldering some new ground straps up and ordered waterproof connectors.

trying to flip the ring gear over as its worn on one side.

We've tried flipping ring gears before, hasn't worked for very long afterwards. Usually causes damage when she lets go and it will.

If you put the flywheel in the freezer for a few hours, pull it out and run a torch in circles, just on the ring gear it will fall right off. No press required and no damage. Can install the new one easily with the same principle.

Nothing snapped, just figured i should get another one anyways.

You should somehow pin the ring gear with something like a roll pin to keep it from spinning, even with the freezer method you will lose some material that aids the press fit when taking the gear on and off and like scott said the starter puts a ton of torque there and will try and work the gear loose. We have noticed that newer msd flywheels already come with a roll pin in the gear. Just my two cents

If you're not interested in doing it yourself, I think zero can replace the ring and pin it for you... Might as well get him to lighten it while he's at it. ;-)

Shortening my waterbox to fit in the hull... kinda hurts cause this box is practically brand new... oh well. Plasma cut it all out, going to also change the OD of the outlet so i can use my stock superjet exhaust hose 2-2 1/4"
