Yup agree, and also not mentioning what brand of prop. A 15/ 19 Solas is not the same as 15/19 Skat. Well this is a Kawi 1100 build thread so answers should be specifically to that...not Yami 1100 or 1200 here

Oh yea that too. Skat and Solas measure slightly different.

From what I've heard, a hooker is exactly the same as a skat c75, just branded for Impros but actually still made by skat.

I have actually seen a couple that were made out of Solas props. My brother has one. Either way, Dave will get you sorted, just tell him what you want and he will get it to you.

Question for you guys I just dropped in my 1100 Kawi with the Rad Dudes bed plate on it to see how far off if anything it would be. The mounting holes on the bed plate are 3/8 of an inch forward towards the bow from the motor mount holes and I want to make sure I have the correct couplers and midshaft back spacing. I am using the ADA couplers from there site that are supposed to be used for the Kawi 1100 conversion I think they are the same ones Rick used in this thread. Also I pressed in my midshaft to just under 19 MM on the back side of the midshaft housing, I think that is about where it is supposed to be. Not sure if my couplers are pushing me to forward or if their is something else I am missing?

Same thing happened to me (see the part of my thread with coupler install). It ended up being I got the sxr conversion coupler set which includes two different couplers. You need two engine side couplers. I can't tell from your photo exactly (using my phone right now). The part you provided the link is the correct part. You ordered two of them correct?
The mid shaft you have should not be the stock blaster one, it should be a gp760 mid shaft

Yeah I bought the whole kit from the Rad Dudes so I have it all including the short mid shaft. I measured the couplers last night and they are both 45MM so roughly a total of 3 and a half inches. See the pictures I attached. I am still not sure if they are the right couplers? Does anyone have the lenght of the correct ones? Not sure where to go from here until I know if they are right or not unless I am missing something else? Thanks.

Rick so your couplers were both different it sounds like? The ones I got are both the same at 45mm So i think that might be the problem. I think I read somewhere that using the Rad Dudes bedplate and short midshaft the total length of the couplers was 3 inches and right now with the ones i have it is a total of 3 and a half which would explain being 3/8 or a little more out for me not to line up.

Update: I called ADA I do like Rick said have the smallest Kawi couplers they have. Maybe I can tap the midshaft back a little and also try to loosen the motor mount and see if i can get it there? Anyone else have luck doing something else thanks.

I machined the step on the outside of shaft down and tapped shaft further through bearing in housing, only needed a couple of mm, and need to make sure pump shaft doesnt bottom out in midshaft

Yeah I pressed the shaft further back last night and it got me pretty close. I need a little more to make sure the couplers are far enough apart. Does anyone know how far you can press the shaft back I was at just under 19mm now i think i am almost 23mm. But it worked pretty good doing that didnt think it would get me that close. How far do the Kawi couplers need to be 2 or 3 mm?

You can press the mid shaft back until it stops really, just watch the outer seal doesn't get pinched as the bigger part of the mid shaft goes into it. It looks like you have the washer behind the midshaft side coupler, you can try taking that out or putting a smaller one behind it?

I was wondering how far the midshaft could be pressed back without an issue it definetly got me closer. I think now I am just short on the sides of the bedplate. Front to back looks pretty good. Might have to take some material off the sides of the bedplate or loosen the motor mounts??

These are what you need if going with the Rad Dudes Kit. The shorter 45mm coupler with the hole goes on the motor side, and the 60mm one goes on the cutback shaft which measures 122mm.

This is incorrect info on my thread. You need the same coupler on both sides. You need the one on the left side of the photo x 2 qty. The coupler is referred to as the kawi engine or crank shaft coupler. The coupler kit in the photos from M5 are for yamaha's that want to use smaller diameter/kawi couplers and not specifically for the rad dudes 1100 conversion.
