Definitely need to get all these socal triple blasters together! I just got mine back up and running last weekend and will probably be at elsinore again on sunday. Pretty sure I had a coil go bad and was having trouble figuring out which one...ended up grabbing my buddies complete ebox cheap and swapped the whole thing and shes back in action.

I am running both the temp sensor jumped and the R&D timing plate with no issues as scottiemac suggested but I am still running stock compression so I am sure that helps...looking to mill the head or get an ADA sooner than later though. Also is yours super loud? I like how it sounds but after riding for awhile it gets old and Im sure others dont appreciate it after a while either, would like to quiet it down a little bit without losing power (putting too much water back in the stinger).

I am running a solas 15-22 big hub that impros reccomended but we are going to try a 15-20 or 15-21 like scottiemac suggested on my buddies that will be built soon. Have not been able to check RPMs or MPH yet.

Ski overall runs pretty good and plugs look perfect BUT I do have a low end bog / hesitation I think is due to the accelerator pumps...are you still running yours?

My B1100 does sound a bit louder than my 96 Blaster w Riva Red pipe, but its not insanely loud. I would say its a deeper sound. I did notice that when idling around and turning right, the exhaust was outlet was under water and it was nice to have it muffled. To that point you could keep the stock outlet from the donor ski. It will have a rubber flap or get an SXR downward turning elbow like Scottie mentioned. Another cheap alternative is to wear a helmet (lol). It is a bit like wearing headphones.

Has anyone installed the extended pump on a B1100? Pros? Cons? I've looked around and it seems like people have done major pump modifications at the same time, so I can't find a straight comparison with extended pump using same stator, ride plate, prop and intake.

It seems it's more a racer thing. Some say better hookup and recovery.
Also better turning since now it's setting th turn nozzle back.

But some say it changes the way it turns...Only by a little so eventually you just get used to It.

I have rode one with it. But was more a stock 1100 yam motor...

Hard to compare if you don't have something to compare with

If you are talking about the 2' extension, it helps with hook up in rougher water a little. It isn't a life changer by any means, but it does help. As for the turning, it moves the rear of the nozzle back as well, so it makes the ski turn harder/sharper. But, the same effect can be had with a longer exit nozzle on a stock length pump. If you were racing and every little bit counts, go for it. If you are simply enjoying a fast blaster on the lakes, don't think it is worth the trouble.

Thanks for the honest feedback Scottie.

I need to still install the timing advance adapter but I did notice some 1100 engine mods are removing the carb accelerator pump. Why? I thought the pump on the carb was to provide fuel on quick acceleration- which helps provide a snappy response.

Rick I can't answer your question but I need more videos of this ski on the water. I think I have watched the one video 60 times already. This thing sounds WICKED!! Feed my addiction. Lol

Rick, I will text you the jetting specs I used without the acc. pumps. I still have the rack setup if you want to try them out, they are just sitting on the shelf.

Do you think you could share those jetting specs, I'm building a 2010 sj with kawi 1100, I picked up the kiehin carbs from a 900, those do not have the accelerator pump. All my experience is with mikuni carbs, why cant you just lower the Pop off and change the pilot jet to get the fuel delivery when it's needs. Like I said, I've never used kiehin carbs and as for my conversion I'm still working on getting this engine to fit in the hull.

Tanner, no problem sharing the jetting specs. I need to open them up to confirm jetting before I post up. I will have time this Sunday afternoon after work. I'm not a fan of Kehin carbs, but you can get these to work quite well in these 1100 setups.

Jetfriend, the more people I talk to the more I hear people like the Mikuni carbs. From what I had read initially I though these Kiehin carbs would work good. These are actually the first kiehin carbs I've ever had so I'm not really sure what I'm getting myself into with these.

I personally like the Mikuni carburetors myself, but IMO you can get the Kehin's to work good on a budget. I will pop those carbs open tomorrow afternoon and post the specs for you guys.

My nephew's 1st ride on the B1. He was scared at first, but wanted to go again once parked.

This conversion thread is one of the best threads i have read on the X or PWC Today and super, super helpful man. If you don't mind I am in the process of doing mine now and i have a couple questions. Did you install a thru hull fitting to add a second cooling line from the Solas stator section and if you did where did you cut and mount it in the pump section? Also I was thinking about using the same Solas 144 stator section, what made you decide to use that and what did you notice from it as far as performance goes? Also did you remove all the foam in the back. I sure appreciate the help I think i have read your thread twice now awesome thanks, Jason.
