So you're saying WDK is the hot ticket item then?

Haha, I originally had this typed after that statment (other then WDK whom probably owes out over 100 parts for either failed products or already paid for items) But I did not want to here any more crying from people who cant handle the truth. Dont worry everyone Jeff just called and told me he is all cought up! Buy Buy Buy!

Jeff will tell you, Ill have to ya in about 2 weeks. He is a very honest man. :haha:

The info is in this forum somewhere.....I know that much. I think every builder has chimed in with specs here at some point.

It really really really helps to go to Daytona and see all the stuff! And ride some of it too. I saw and touched a WDK hull or two or even three before I bought one.

I think the builders should go to Virginia free ride and Daytona!

Did you see a WDK pole at that Daytona ride, too? :clown:

this thread is going down hill pretty quickly...

if you dont have anything constructive to offer why bother posting there are enough bashing threads elsewhere

Ok, then call the manufactures. Talk to them, they have all the answers you are looking for.

Ask lots of questions, WHat resin? What materials? What Weight? How much abuse will it take? Do all of your hull versions weigh within a couple pounds of each other? Do you have any pro riders? How many hulls have you built this year? Listen to what they have to say. Try to figure out if they are full of BS or if they actually know what the he// they are talking about.

There is only so much info people want to post on the net.

Good luck, it's shady territory out there. :sadwavey:

This is the best information you will get out of this thread.

Answers are only a few phone calls away. :moon:

Ive had a few a/m hulls, most of them arent any lighter than oem. You can buy 3-4 oem hulls for the price of some of the top dollar hulls, so be sure to factor that into consideration. You can get a sj copy or you can get a hybrid. If i was going with a am hull that was a sj bottom copy, it would have to be lighter and stronger than oem or its just not worth buying. I switched to a hybrid hulls so i could run the motor/pump combinations I like. I currently have a eme signiture series hull which is light, balanced and handles better and feels more comfortable than any hull i've ever owned or ridden. The downside is its not gonna last forever and will need to be replaced someday.

Ive had good and bad products from wdk, I broke the bottom of my rev hull, to the point it was junk in the first day and on the other side, My original xjet hull lasted 7 seasons. In Jeff's defense, he did warranty my rev hull, but it took a couple of years. Unless youre just really lucky all the time I'd stay away from wdk, because the 50/50 chance you get a decent hull is not worth risk of losing seasons of riding. The highest quality hulls I've personally seen are the trinity hull and the german lightweight.de hull. After my current hull no longer floats, i will prolly be going the trinity way

Guys, listen to Tom. He does not BS. He has probably a wider knowledge about AM hulls than most. Between him and some of the guys he rides with they have all had just about every AM hull there is.

I know Trinity makes at least 3 different versions of each hull (both the EVO and the Matrix). I ride flat, chop, boatwakes and waves....and for me, my hull is plenty light. (A little lighter than a stock SJ, but it is a -2 SXR. It saved me about 75 pounds and I don't want anything any lighter for waves or chop.) This hull handles like a dream and is light enough to do what I want to do with it. (I don't want to do flatwater backys). Everyone who has rode it is surprised on (1, how different it is from a stock SXR) (2, I have a stock motor, impeller, electronics with only a flywheel and a pipe). The weight made it WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FASTER!

ES (This is the version I got and it is the heaviest, still saved 75 pounds)

So far it is super strong with no stress cracks in the hull or hood. Only time will tell if it holds up. I put 6 years into beating my stock SXR hull and it had a couple small stress cracks. It rides pretty similar to Madmats ENVY hull. He just runs a shorter, tighter pole

That's very interesting.
What do you have, in REAL money, in that entire ski, including build, freight, etc? EVERYTHING.

FOR THE MONEY YOU SPENT, what are your thoughts on that Octane A/M hull you ran a couple years ago?
Compared to say, the amount you spent on the WDK hull.

octane hull was better, it was actually oem, I just bought it in pieces and put it together the way i wanted it. Most, (not all)of the problems i've had with the waterdawg hulls werent actually lay up or construction but how they were assembled. The envy i bought was some of the best layup work i've seen from him, however i never put it on the water because the eme hull came up and it was what i wanted. Try to avoid waterdawg, there is much better hulls out there with the customer service you will need when building custom skis

i like my REV hull, seems well built, no complaints... people seem to go on a wdk rant without actually knowing what the end product is like...

.. i was hoping on this thread people who actually own the differnt hulls would chime in on their thoughts
