buddy of mine is builidng an XFS up now. If he ever finishes.
Well, cats outta the bag I guess by now. Pulled the trigger on a carbon xfs an should have it in my possession in hopefully a month. It's already here in the states. Also just got my pfp today, do I need to install inserts for the pfp? Anything I should know about these hulls? Comes with a full billet rrp pole setup, pump shoe, an rideplate. Putting my 140 mag an Jetworks 5mil stroker in it. Thanx for any advice.
Im just curious why you've had 3 different skis in less than a year what was wrong with the bob hull you hadWell, cats outta the bag I guess by now. Nobody has tried one of these? I want to keep the nose down more I am 6'7" and if I get a little out of position the nose shoots for the sky, tail stands in the surf are not a cool trick. Don't want to spend that kind of money if it is going to ruin what I like about the ride. I am going to shorten my pole first but I think doing both might be the trick.
have you guys tried shimming the back of the ride plate?
I am probably going to order the medium length plate and see if it makes a difference for the surf. Although its plenty warm enough to be riding I am still probably 3-4 weeks out before mine is ready for its first rip of the year.
I am wondering if the medium will be enough. I know the wait on the long plate is forever because it has to come from the factory and since I have no patience I am thinking about the medium also. Just alot of cash to throw down without getting input from someone who has actually tried it, for some reason I feel like I need the long one.
The XFS has 1/2"1/2" or 3/8" cooling lines come on these? Please say 1/2".......
I think I read somewhere SN plates work.. I could be just making it up IDK but maybe you can try one of those before ordering two seperate rrp plates?
Btw, you screwed me out of thousands of dollars. I been looking at Rickters since seeing yours at jones inlet.. Thanks lol
