i think it could be done.... make sure you have a 750 kawi throttle cable (cant remember the year) and preferably Thrust innovations 12'' longer steering cable. a SN cable will work but not as much throw. everything would just have to go together really smooth.

'93 750SX throttle cable. Much beefier and nicer than the Yamaha cables. Less than $30.
The intake manifold throttle cable bracket may need some grinding, you may need an aftermarket throttle wheel, and your throttle lever will lose the silly Yamaha small thread adapter.

I do have thrust cable coming with the hull
I was most concerned about the pump shoe and how it fits
I know i woould not get a front foot hold in and returf but that can be done when I get back

depends on how lucky you are
pump and mtr alignment take the most time, Zacks ski was great and only took about 2 hours to align pump midshaft and motor
Mine, well... took about 2 days and alot of cusing ect

make sure you have a throttle drum and a pump shoe
and dont mount the e-box untill the mtr is in place

On my superjet I had to use an aftermarket throttle wheel/drum when using the 750sx throttle cable and a RIVA single carb conversion manifold. The distance between the throttle butterfly and where the throttle cable mounts to is going to determine whether you need a aftermarket throttle wheel/drum or not. The distance between the two points on my setup was too short.

I technically was able to get it to work, but I was only screwed on by one thread on both the throttle side and carb side, which was too risky/dangerous in my opinion.

Its can be done, I built mine in 2 days & that included re enforcing the sides & bottom! Pump shoe took some time to make fit right.....

Im using a square nose throttle cable in mine, everything aligned perfectly with no problems, oem pump shoe fit fine also you have plenty of time to get it together. I tapped the 3 holes in back of the ebox and mounted like an fx1 I didn't use the superjet ebox brackets.

I believe Hes going to use a front foot hold , so you really want to mount the e-box superjet style so you dont have to remove the ffh each time you need into the e-box.

True, oem plastic pump shoe fits great Z and I opted for alum ones which required grinding

we just used the oem kawi 750 throttle because its durable only $30 and the right length

sounds like either Im really anal about my pump /midshaft /mtr alignment, or I got the twisted hull
but Zacks ski went together in 2 days no prob,

mine went right together as well...granted, the pump shoe was already in it when I recvied the hull...

kawi 750 cable in there as well with a 61x motor, TLR 48 with stock throttle drum

here's a pic of the installed noserail....still ging to pull it back off and run a bead of black 5200 round the nose..

used 1" SS carriage bolts, a 1" washer and nyloc..........put the first bolt about 4.5 inches from the front edge of the turf, then spaced about 5" apart

it feels rock solid like you could pick it up from the rail

and ZERO holes thru the nose!!!!

Finally started my build
Pump shoe issues need a metal one to grind to make it work
I was running a rrp pole bolt with a spring Found the bolt almost in two due to spring friction on the soft material of the pole bolt The pole bolt was new in june
If you run a spring with this bolt its going to break

I picked up a used FR-2 and am starting to put it together. Still waiting for mag pump and motor. On the motor mounts I put the bolts up through the bottom of the plate. Should be easier than nuts on bottom and no worry's about the bolts being to long and bottoming out.

Some one posted they had added nose foam. Where did you fit it!?

What holds the breather hose in the pole?

thats the ticket right there. i wish SOMEBODY told me this when i did mine...... i got lucky tho and the nuts were stuck to the bottom of the plate....

the breather tubes are so tight in the pole they hold their self. id put a ziptie around them at the bracket for insurance tho.

Got my fr2 this week what a bit of kit very pleased with it got this specifically for surf riding just need to set it up, anyone cut the rear bond rail off on there rickter?
Need to change hood seal, replace hood latch with s/s ratchet strap, add front foot strap, and primer pump.and sort the pump, prop.
I'm running a 850pv dasa stock stroke, only rode it for 20 mins on flat water for a test run it's -3 here at mo,
Seems as its not hooking up or not getting the power down it's running a 13/17 prop on a stock pump, has 200+ psi compression on pots and running on pump gas,on dasa site says 200 + psi race gas,I think I need to change prop and drop my tbm on as I was expecting mass power difference compared to my fully ported 760 superjet,is anyone running this engine in there rickter.

I would say first get a Mag pump , especially if you mostly ride surf! (check with jetmaniac)
Was this unit tuned before it got to you?
