RICKTER talk

So another thing crossed my mind about guys that head out a bit farther from the launch... how do you deal with not having a reserve switch on your ski? I haven't taken mine out yet and I can only imagine a 950 dasa is going to suck more gas than my stock 701 ever did. I'm sure it will just take time to get used to what my actual ride time is before I have to head back in to shore for gas. I just don't want to be like the guy who had such a small tank and after 15 min was running back into the channel. :)
Buy cheap $20-30 solar casio and strap it on your bars. Time your tank once and then set your timer everytime you go out. 950cc with 48-50mm will last you around 1h normal jetting and 45min reverse jetting

You don’t need to slit the noodle if you just pull the tag end out of the ratchet, feed it trough the noodle with a dowel rod and then back into the ratchet mechanism. By doing that it all stays together nice for use each time and if the noodle rolls as you tighten it up the strap won’t slip out of the noodle

I bought this XFR blank and added graphics myself, not done yet. U guys like it? It’s a trash / classic mix. Looks good from 10 ft away lol

Any front footholds that fit an FS2? Would prefer to turf and bolt in if possible so it doesnt cover E box screws. Or is everyone just running a strap up front. Post up. Thanks

I went with the pancake Pete and covered my ebox bolts. An extra 2 min to remove front foothold. I’m happy with how it came out.

Can anyone explain the purpose of the batwing ride plate for an edge? I want to go with a longer plate vs what came on my ski and trying to grasp the advantage of going with the batwing model or just a regular extended plate.

Don’t do it. I have a friend that had one and the Edge just doesn’t need one. Get a medium at most I’d say. I’m no small guy and ride with a short, but with the 2016+ rear sponsons.

What issues are you having now with it?

fwiw - I just road my edge on a 15 mph windy day, the lake had 3 feet of chop. I normally just ride with a medium Plate (with no rear sponsons) and have been considering chopping it down to make it a small. On this day I decided to ride the ski with the medium plate and the rear sponsons installed. I had an absolute blast, the ski was so playful and fun to ride. Im between 190 and 195 lbs and would never consider going to a large. You may just want to ride your ski a few times to get used to it.

I’ve ridden all season with what I would guess is the short plate (is flush to back of hull). I feel like I battle the back end sinking on me where I have to ride surf stance and have to shift my weight forward, I can never have both feet back. Hence why I’m thinking of going longer plate. For what it’s worth I’m around 205lbs.
