Ar's are boring and common. I have one because I was able to build it for $420 including the mag, otherwise I won't waste my money. So many more interesting guns out there to own, this new arx being just one of them.
Or not really using it. Take a Carbine class. If your AR is boring and common then you built the wrong configuration and caliber. =P

This guy does pretty good reviews. Sure is a lot of polymer, too much for me, but if ya like it "pull the trigger".I didn't want to mess up the handgun talk with my question so here is a thread for rifle talk. have at it.
I would like some opinions on the new arx100 that beretta put out from those of you who have had a chance to shoot one. Here is the article that introduced me to this gun (edit: cant get the link to work). Now I know you AR-15 guys feel obligated to hate these on principle but I'm intrigued. I've been wanting to get my first AR for a while now, but after seeing this I'm thinking about getting one of these. Thoughts?
To all you guys talking about a super expensive paltform... I must say "SCAR".I haven't fired one (yet) but I like the concept.
